Average supermarket. Quite expensive. Friendly staff but could do with a few more on the tills and shop floor.

Love going here. Tend to have all the bits I can't get at the bigger supermarkets in buxton which is amazing considering how small the shop is!

Waitrose inside The Springs Shopping Centre is located in the town centre of Buxton in the Peak District of Derbyshire.I wasn't too pleased with this Waitrose location as a whole, I do think being located within the shopping centre is most certainly holding it back, which means the store is less favourable to visit compared to the standalone Waitrose supermarkets, or even the ones inside the Westfield malls in London.I do think they could do with a bit of a revamp to make the store look a bit nicer, as it just feels so basic and doesn't align with my vision of the Waitrose brand. The store is open until 7 pm, which although I feel is far too early for a supermarket to be open. (Morrisons and Aldi nearby are open until 10 pm), this is later than the shopping centre's closing time of 5:30 pm. After the mall closes, there is only one entrance to get into the shopping centre, and the centre is partially blocked off, which can make access to the store restricted, and you have to walk the long way around.I was unable to find the item I specifically came into the store for, the selection was OK at best, but the free-from selection especially was quite poor, and half the size I'm used to finding with Waitrose. It was easy enough to get through the store, and it was mostly clean.2*

A dreary store that needs a refurbishment, has done for many years.

I actually hope this feedback makes a difference because this is the third time I am complaining and I don't see results.I have a baby and looking at the shopping trolley plastic moulded baby seat, they are all super dusty, dirty and even mouldy, which I found absolutely unacceptable. Waitrose claims to be a very posh and high standard place to shop, but hygiene wise it has disappointed me very much, specially when it comes to my baby's health.I communicated my concern a few times already with a few members of staff, they apologised and said they would do something about it and every time I go back the problem is still there. So I am never able to use those seats. A member of staff actually told me that they are not used much and that's why they don't clean them, which again, I find unacceptable behaviour and attitude. If those trollies are not used, they shouldn't be there, period.I hope you take action on Buxton store, because I am clearly not going to go back if that doesn't change.
