Visited on a Saturday morning (9.45ish) at the end of October. Was surprised to see quite a few people already there, as other places are usually a little quieter at this time!\\nHaving eaten, I can fully understand why it is popular - we have found our new favourite local place for a cooked breakfast!\\n2 of us dined, and we opted for the Scottish breakfast and the Irish breakfast, as we've never the chance to try these ever before.\\nWe cut bits up to share, so we both got to try the Scottish bits and the Irish bits, and my goodness they were good!\\nThe Lorne sausage (Scottish) was quite dense, like a really good quality burger, the Irish sausage were delicious, the white pudding (Scottish) was creamy and peppery, the black pudding (Irish) was divine - crumbly textured, and a great flavour (supermarket black pudding has been ruined forever now!), the tattie scone (Scottish) and homemade potato cake (Irish) were amazing (and whilst in theory the same thing, had different textures and a slight difference in taste)\\nEverything else on the plate was also high quality - lovely eggs, the thickest bacon I have ever seen, great tomatoes and really nice baked beans. Beans and chopped tomatoes served in ramekins (perfect for those who don't like the juices touching). There were mushrooms on the Irish breakfast, but I would have liked more as I love mushrooms. No mushrooms on the Scottish breakfast, which were missed.\\nThe Scottish breakfast came with some thick sliced white toast, and the Irish breakfast came with thick sliced soda bread. While the soda bread had a really nice flavour, it was a little bit dense for my tastes (first time having it, so not used to it!)\\nThe meals were £13 each, which included a hot drink. We ordered a tea and a coffee. The coffee (americano) was served in a nice sized mug. The tea was served in a pot, which didn't dribble, and I had a cup and saucer to drink it from. Plenty of milk in the jug that accompanied the drinks.\\nThe menu explains that breakfasts are cooked to order, so to allow about 20 minutes between ordering and being served. This gave us enough time to drink our drinks, and people watch. Some orders that came out looked very impressive, including the doorstop breakfast sandwiches, which were enormous!\\nWhile we there, a customer in a wheel chair arrived - there was a little issue in getting the wheelchair through, but another table tucked their chairs in and the customer was able to get through.\\nPlenty of staff serving, taking orders and cleaning up.\\nIf I could give more than 5 stars, I would!!

Excellent quality produce. Quick and polite service. Just wish they'd put beans & tomatoes on my plate, and not in small bowls. Will definitely be going back to try another full breakfast.

Very poor service. Only went in for coffee and cake. Got cake straight away, told coffee would be in a few minutes. Chased up 20 minutes later and told it wouldn't be long. Chased again at 30 minutes only to be told they were busy and they had lost the order NOT GOOD ENOUGH. Coffee eventually arrived, but had obviously been made in a rush as it had hardly any coffee taste at all. Complained and was offered a slice of takeaway cake as compensation, which we accepted. It was dry. Won't be coming here again.

How this has gone downhill from when Sue ran it!! No takeaway coffee cups. Huge waits. 11:00 and mostly run out of everything. Caz?s Cabin at the end of the village is a few levels up and therefore WAY better. Avoid the Honeypot unless you ring first.

All the staff that work at these places I?ve been to all three wonderful people kind thoughtful, very nice yet today, a small Scottish man with a beard that told me he owned it was very nasty to an old lady and not very nice to me at the start I will never eat there again now he owns it neither will any of my friends.

We've been here twice and both times enjoyed the food. We've had jacket potatoes and toasted tea cakes. Breakfasts are served all day and are very popular. Cakes look delicious, we had a rhubarb frangipane which was fab.The staff are friendly, polite and very efficient.Wheelchair accessibility: Most of the shop and cafe are on one level, with a lift for the first floor. There are wheelchairs at the door for those that need them.
