Dreadful evening. 6 adults eating, 4 meals arrived after an hour, 3 returned with luke warm chicken and pork. Walked out after 2hrs. Nice pint of Doom Bar.

Where do I start! My partner and I went to Beefeater after finishing work and driving over an hour as we were having a weekend away. This beefeater was next to our premier inn we were staying in. We decided to go for our evening meal here. Upon arrival we were greeted with ?do you have a booking?? No good evening or any other comment. We said ?no? as we?d just arrived, they had a check around and we were seated quickly. Both of us looked at the menu and a lovely waitress took our drinks order. We both looked over the food menu and our order was taken. After a while our food arrived, mine was lasagna and my partner ordered ribs and chicken, the chicken was ok, we did question if it was actually chicken (between ourselves). Once our plates were taken, we asked for the bill which the waitress brought over and about a discount code or something, she said yes and brought over a card to activate. My partner looked at the bill and it said £15.66 I said is it right, he assured me that it was. It then took between 20-30 minutes for someone to come over to actually take payment, which we were paying in cash. Once someone finally came over, they took our bill. A few minutes later they came back and said this isn?t your bill, which we questioned as there had been discounts applied. The second waiter came over and blamed our previous waitress for giving us the wrong bill and were asked to pay the full amount, which we paid and left. As we left we saw there was a deal on 2 4 1 cocktails on the baileys ones, we discussed coming back for these the day after as neither of us would have to drive as we were staying next door. Upon arrival we then asked the same thing ?have you booked?? We replied, we?ve just come for drinks. We found a seat around the bar area which my partner went to the bar to order the drinks. After sitting on my own while he was there for 10 minutes if not longer, wondering where he?d got to. He arrived with 2 out of the 4 cocktails. For him to say they have no idea what they are doing and have no idea about their offers as it said all 4 were on the offer which was £20 for 4 cocktails. We then had to guess which one was which as they were all different and they had no idea which was which when placing them down. Very frustrating for a big brand and we gave them the benefit of the doubt after the first attempt. Would not recommend returning for an evening meal.

We often meet halfway with other family from time to time to have a proper catch up and have a good time.The staff are always friendly and efficient when it comes to service and the food is just as good. Prices a little on the higher side but certainly doesn?t change my view of this place in any way.Will always come back here :)

Best meal I've had in ages. The ribs were amazing. Service could be better. Getting our meal was fine, but we had to attract attention to get a pudding. Staff very polite and friendly though.

Jayden served us and what an absolute joy she is! It's rare nowadays to get service with pizazz. Hope management recognise her sunny disposition.Food was excellent as were the cocktails and Irish coffees made by Dave. All in all a really lovely evening.

Were to start it took a good 30 mins for the starter to come out bearing in mind the place was dead. Main meal another 45 mins to come out then when it did it was awful my steak and roast potatoes were cold and the other meals were barely warm sent mine back and it was microwave and the potatoes were still cold. The mixed grill was ok but peas rock hard.We were all hungry and so we're the children so we ate what was a inedible meal which cost nearly a £100. Then to top it all the girl came and started clearing away glasses that were half full !!!! Sorry will not be visiting this place in a hurry.

Excellent dining experience, even though we chose a busy time to eat Dylan still found us a table and kept checking on us while we waited for food. Ten out of ten for customer services. Meals were delicious and good value. Plenty of parking with lots of disabled spaces. Restaurant spotless. Really enjoyed our visit today.

We called a couple of weeks ago and had a meal we had a voucher for my birthday. I had a steak and my husband had chicken. The meal I must admit was disappointing in the sense of other than steak a few chips 1 mushroom and I think a tomatoe there was no veg you could order it extra my husband had smothered chicken 1 tiny bit of bacon hardly any sauce and some very crispy cheese chips and coleslaw again no veg. I think for what we paid if we had not had the voucher it would have been expensive for what we actually had on our plates.

The recent flooding all around Chesterfield / Bakewell area left us stranded on Friday night, together with quite a few other motorists ( we were the lucky ones, having a caravan meant we got a good night's sleep in the car park ). The staff at the Beefeater were really welcoming and helpful, even though they themselves were struggling to get in and out of work and felt like they were running a refugee centre. I'd just like to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone there , we really appreciated your kindness.

Kim went absolutely above and beyond in helping us manage allergies. Our allergy is rare (so not listed in allergens) but severe but she triple checked everything and spotted something we overlooked! Thanks Kim. The atmosphere was friendly and relaxed and the food was well cooked and tasty. The biggest thing for us was being able to relax and feel safe.Dietary restrictions: Excellent allergy awareness and caring approach to making sure we got it right.

The 2 stars for service does not relate to the waitress (who deserves more than 5 stars) but the slovenly manager who used his laptop and admin to hide in. He sat surrounded by his empty dinner plates, and consuming coke - rude, made sure you knew you were an inconvenience, avoided eye contact with customers. That poor waitress was let down. No music other than what the chef was playing. Place smelt musty, horrible atmosphere.Really regret paying for the meal deal. Have not had food yet.

What has happened. Been going here for many years. Service was a bit slow to start but got our drinks and starters, ordered three starters the same, 1 was OK the other 2 had to go back as they forgotten one of the ingredients. Then our main meal turned up and they hadn?t cleared the table from the starters. Said to waitress (may have been supervisor) you not cleared the table she was very abrupt and said going to do it now. The main meals, the two Mixed grills were ok but the fish on the Fish (Haddock) and chips was heavily battered and flesh was yellow and tasteless, the Ribs on the Beefeater Combo were dry. When meals were delivered, I asked for vinegar Five minutes we had to wait. At the end of meal the plates were just left on table and we decided to leave. Then took 10/15 minutes to get the bill? £130.00 Wasted. Bring back the old team.

Poor atmosphere and service. No welcome or smile from any staff. Felt like our presence here was more of a hinderance than anything else. Place needs some refurbishment too.

We had a discount vouch for the Beefeater and used it at the Highwayman near Chatsworth. We booked the table for 7:30 pm but arrived early at 6:15 pm. Although the restaurant did not look busy the man at the seating desk said they were busy and that we would have to wait until 7:30 p.m. although he did say if a table became available he would let us know. We whiled away the hour with a drink and then went to be seated. The man we had spoken to earlier ignored us and other waiters and waitresses said they wouldn't not be a minute but never came back it took us 15 to 20 minutes to get seated. I ordered red wine and received white. I ordered steak and ale pie to be told later that it was now off the menu so I ordered ribeye steak. One of our party of five's meal was burnt and had to be replaced. Toby our waiter was magnificent but on leaving the restaurant the man we had spoken to at the beginning asked if all was well. I said no the service that he had given us at the beginning was atrocious and that the meal while spoilt by receiving incorrect wine with no steak and ale pie and burnt food. He said he would refund the value of my ribeye steak but then he said I was rude and he got annoyed saying that he would refund the cost of all meals. He was not a nice man and why he got so nasty I do not know. He has no idea how to deal with customers and is not a good ambassador for Beefeater. Fortunately the other Beefeater restaurant so I have been to have been excellent so hopefully this is just a one-off bad experience.Parking: There example parking at this restaurantWheelchair accessibility: That is good wheelchair access at this restaurant
