Great friendly staff. Though you have to ensure you get the right grading of products you sell. Though they don't ripe you off if you present a well looked after piece of tech that is clean.

Shop can be ok. But seems what they sell and will buy in are 2 different things moans about a scratch but what they sell are scratched.. most staff friendly n helpful tho.

Never going to shop or sell at any CEX ever again! I took my laptop to sell it due to upgrading and wanting to use the money to buy a camera from them, when I got there, they inspected the laptop and told me a completely different price as to what was on their website, i challenged them and they finally gave in a offered me what was the CORRECT price, i then asked for the voucher price as it was 20£ more, they then told me it would take 1 hour 45 mins for them to do their checks on the laptop, so I went around town, waiting for the time to go back and collect my money, when I got there, they said "bad news" I knew something was up.. they then said the screen is "falling off" and they "should've seen it" before telling me to wait just under 2 hours and went to show me the edges of the screen which looked completely fine! Absolutely no reason to reject my laptop. They then had the cheek to ask me if I still wanted to buy the camera (why I say this was cheeky will make sense soon) So after wasting my time I then went home and decided I will keep this laptop, after going through all the setup I came to the final part where It asked me to connect to a WiFi, I waited and waited and no WiFi option had appeared, I then did some searching online and found a way to bypass the setup and after I did that, I was searching youtube for hours trying to find a fix to get back a WiFi connection on my laptop, nothing worked! This morning I go to a reputable laptop repair shop, one I have been going to before and very happy with their services, they told me 'someone' has corrupted your network drivers, I instantly knew it was the staff at CEX because when I took it in, the laptop was absolutely fine and 100% working, I then told the story to my friend who works at the laptop repair shop and he affirmed to me that this issue doesn't just occur on its own, someone fiddled with the drivers, so CEX have proved to me that they are dishonest and very crafty when it comes to trying to buy things, they want it at a cheaper price than you expect. Anyone who reads this I strongly advice you to STAY AWAY from CEX, boycott at ALL costs!Nasty nasty service from them!

In need of some TLC in sections. Cabinet merchandising is questionable with some prices not right so be careful.Staff are great.

Shameful and disgraceful Bussiness.I went there with my two children to check for headphones and PlayStation CD. Firstly, the staff did something that I told them if it was in Canada as a Canadian, I would take them to court over racial profiling. When a staff was showing me headset I asked him for me to make sure that it?s working, he said let me come around over the counter so you can touch it! I asked him why he mentioned because people stealing their stuff. Wow! Seriously! I am still thinking about taking this further as it was recorded.Secondly, they run immoral business. For Need for speed CD (new costs 19£ on Amazon) they are selling it used for 10£. I asked him if it?s working he said yes. Went home to figure that CD is not working and damaged. I returned it back and they said that they never tested their gaming CDs! They are selling whatever they got from public and advertising them as working! This is theft.I think I will take their attitudes further for official complaint.Shameful. Stay away and purchase new ones!

Staff aren't all that welcoming and felt quite unwelcome. Told I'd have to come back when they had time to test a phone for them to thi k about buying it, nearly about 4 hours, just felt like an inconvenience. Also tried to sell earbuds and again said they weren't clean enough and took them 4 times. I just think you ought to stop offering them to trade in.

I get the point of CeX I even understand it's business model and the role it plays in today's world; however how they can justify selling a two year old second hand computer game for a pound less than you can buy it new for Asda? I don't get it, drop your prices by £5 or £10 sell way more stock make more profit.

This shop is always busy due to the content they sell and the nature of the shop.Staff are nice and friendly and help you out if you are not too sure what you want/need. They won't fob you off so they can get a better sale, they seem to be honest.You get a warranty with everything you purchase from them (I think it's 2 year)Trading your stuff into them is also pretty easy and straight forward, they give everything a thorough test.

Did a drop off order and took it to the Chesterfield branch where the staff were very helpful and promptly dealt with me. I was surprised to find that my items had been checked and I got paid the next day which is fantastic customer service.

bought a 1tb sata hard drive the other day and it's noisy. The hard drive was put on my printer until I had time to fit it, took the hard drive back to cex in chesterfield and one of the staff wouldn't refund me or to book it for a warranty test to refund making a excuse saying it's water damaged when it's clearly been no where near water. she was not helpful at all and said I couldn't return it so won't be using cex in chesterfield again. I also bought a 4gb desktop memory as dd3 and it was a ddr4 stick.
