Would leave 0 stars if possible. Booked in on the official Halfords website, got the time off work only to turn up (at an incredibly poorly organised ?car park?) to be told they were too busy. When I said I had booked through the website the rude man at reception stated that the website booking doesn?t mean anything. From looking at previous reviews this happens a lot. Definitely avoid Halfords and go for one of the many other cheaper, friendly and more professional options in the area.

As always a great service from this store.Be aware that the carpark has an "enforcement officer" who is nothing to do with halfords but is a proper jobsworth, especially if you're a halfords customer.

If i can give a 0 star i would unfortunately Google review does not allow this but i booked an appointment with the Halford in London Road, Derby, I had the emailing stating the appointment and i came in 10 minutes early, the man at the reception was rude and very patronizing as i had a leak in the coolant tank and he started talking technical and said they are too busy to check my car and can do the £50 diagnostic and tried to scam me for money, when i asked if they can do this check he said no - too busy! i didn't know what else to say! Why advertise a free service when you don't go through with this - I think they want a car that has many faults so they can make the profit - Please ALL customers do not use this scam awful company - there are many legit better companies out there that will help you for cheaper and actually take a look at your car - Never will i use the awful company again - PS change your receptionist and put some with a better personality, friendly and pleasant to the eye there instead. -0/10

Absolutely shocking service. Car booked In for a battery test at 8.30am this morning. Was told they wouldn't do it! This was booked online. Now having to book another morning off work to get it sorted. Why let people book appointments and then refuse to do it!! Waste of time!

First time I came here old bald man had a really bad attitude, left within a second.Second time was a year ago I booked for a wheel alignment, got a call 30 minutes before my appointment the equipments broken.Just yesterday I needed a wheel alignment again, equipments broken again?Bad experience, bad service bad hospitality.

Rude older man on the reception who needs to learn some customer service skills. I can only describe the experience as ?computer says no? from Little Britain. Training required massively for this man who has no clue about the HALFORDS Motorcare Service Plan yet sits there working in HALFORDS autocentre! Having to explain that once direct debit is fixed - it GUARANTEES the services it offers when it quotes for the service plan. Apparently gets my phone number wrong too so I sit waiting ALL DAY with no phone call. As if that weren?t bad enough, they performed an interim service when I asked for a full one and then didn?t even bother to stamp my book or give me any paperwork. I?m not sure I even want to take it back there next year and will definitely try the other one in Derby if I do. Seriously, sort those two out on reception cos again when I called, the woman knew nothing about this plan either! Clueless! (I?ve already logged this with Customer Services).EDIT: since discovered that the rude old man on reception that is being called out repeatedly for over a YEAR in the reviews is the GARAGE MANAGER! WOW!!! ? Halfords head office need to sort this man out before he destroys Halfords reputation in Derby speaking to people like that. There?s absolutely no need at all. I bet it gets a lot of people?s backs up.

Will not be going back! The staff looked miserable upon arrival and once entering reception it became apparent why if having to work with The chap on the desk, he was arrogant and so miserable! Will never use Halfords auto centers again, wouldn't have had to visit if my job was done correctly the first time! Will be spreading the word of how rubbish it is!

Similar to other recent reviews to this autocentre. I was told a booking is made for MOT but it never did. Stay away.
