Seeing such an impressive hole changed my life

I have fond memories of frequently climbing through and sitting inside The Hole when I was much younger, on every visit I made to Ilkeston; sadly I moved to London and consequently regular visits to this national landmark became difficult.\\n\\nI am so glad to be moving back to Derbyshire in the very near future, primarily to be within a reasonable commuting distance to The Hole. I am looking forward to being able to climb through The Hole regularly; unfortunately I am no longer able to sit inside it.\\n\\nMy only wish is that The Hole would be a little bigger.

This must?ve been one of the best experiences of my life. I travelled hundreds of miles to see the amazing hole which is right next to this bank.\\n\\nBut please let?s take a minute of silence to appreciate this brave little bank which is getting consistently neglected due to its neighbourhood to the much more famous hole.\\n\\nI have struggled to give 5 stars as there is no souvenir shop and it didn?t rain while I was there.\\n\\nI can?t wait to come back!

The last time I wept at something so life changing and profound was when I saw the shroud of Turin. It is astonishing to see the locals walk past so nonchalantly, it must take all their willpower to keep their eyes dry. The hole is a modern wonder, so glad I made the pilgrimage from East Anglia, next year I'll do it barefoot.

Delighted that this wonderful hole is getting the recognition it sorely deserves. When I peeped through it I saw something I will never forget the rest of my days. Well worth the trip from Calcutta (the other famous hole), I'll be back many more times. Thankyou, it's been a wholly wonderful experience.

Literally a hole in the wall loved by every Ilkestonian. Every child loves climbing through it as does many a drunk person after a night at obbo. A must see on a visit to Ilkeston

I recently visited the area from Canada. I thought walking across the old viaduct bridge was amazing until we came across this!! Well done!

Great to see such a great clean hole in Ilkeston. Got to say as this is one of the main attractions of the place it really says a lot about the town.

Anyone who lives in Ilkeston knows of this monumental piece. Its the pride of our town and any visitors should be sure to come check it out. You will not be disappointed.

I was truly stunned by the craftsmanship that had gone into this piece of architecture. I was that impressed that it made me sign up to the reward bank account that NatWest was currently offering.

What is going on here, a round hole in a wall which is part of the NatWest branch next to a cash machine, whatever next.
