Personally never had any issues. Yes I had to call 39 times (hence 4 stars) before I got through, but I think that?s the same for every doctors nowadays. When I got through the receptionist was polite, pleasant and very efficient - no complaints.

Maybe all Medical Practices are going the same way, I haven't moved yet to find out. But, if you want consistently rude and unhelpful receptionists who assume you should understand how their ever changing systems and processes should work and treat you like a nuisance for calling then you've come to the right place. They also seem to have gained a lot of medical knowledge lately and are able to give you detailed blood test results along with their own analogies, perform triage over the phone, basically they can do everything to prevent you from ever getting through the barrier and receiving the help you need. Been at this practice since birth, not someone who abuses the system and if I try to see a doctor it's because I really need to. If you don't call at 8am you don't get served? I'm not trying to buy tickets for sell out out concert, I'm trying to access medical care, where is you duty of care if you just shut up shop once you are 'full'. Ever thought of making people appointments for the following day? At this point I'm seriously considering moving on.

Used the e consult at 8:20am, it told me I needed a GP. I got straight through to reception on the phone and a GP called me back within the hour. Got the antibiotics I needed straight away! I have never received such excellent service so thank you - it makes such a difference when you are poorly and need help.

It's no wonder so many people go to A&E these days. If you want to see someone you have to phone stupidly early in the morning but by the time they answer the phone all the old biddies waiting at the door for the practice to open have taken the available appointments for that day. The extended hours in the evening aren't much use either and are quite frankly a waste of time. I went in with a problem requiring medication and I was told I would have to book an appointment to see a doctor as they couldn't actually prescribe anything. Not much bloody use when I start before they open and finish after the normal hours are over.Absolutely bloody useless!!

Just read some of the critical reviews. All I can say is they must be going somewhere else...I have been using this practice for 20 years and I think Ripley is excellent, as is Leabrooks. I usually go to Ripley as it fits in with other activities. The medical staff are superb and have always treated me with care and the receptionists are exceeding pleasant and easy to talk to and do their best to help.

Extremely long waits, 3 reception desks and no electronic sign in. Not my first choice as it's far easier at the Leabrooks surgery. Still waiting now in the sweaty waiting area ð???

Just spent 16 minutes waiting for my phone call to be answered. I was put through to a recorded message telling me my call was important to them and asked me to keep holding. But 16 minutes later I hung up in frustration. If they were not answering the phone this afternoon the recorded message should say so.
