Handy store within SainsburysOn the whole very helpful staff, one particular lady spoils the experience..Rude disrespectful and disgusting behaviour to disabilities also..kindness costs nothing, this behaviour is not a one off or just having a bad day..

Been ringing for days and nobody answers apart from a recorded message saying they are experiencing very high call demand then cuts me off. Don't know how they can have high call demand as they never answer. I'm far from the store and the item I want is not able to be reserved so wanted to check they have it before driving for an hour. Disgusting customer service. Was for my son's birthday so have a very unhappy boy. Hope you're pleased with yourselves. You've obviously turned the ringer off. Disgusting.

I recently bought some items from Sainsburys online and had to collect them from Argos instore and then unfortunately as both were too large for me ( Yay ?diet is working) return them the next day. Both times I was served by Hannah who made both transactions quick and easy. Lovely friendly manner and really great customer service. A* for Hannah.

Needed to return a faulty TV, this was done with minimal issue. However staff attitude and candour was awful, to the point of almost rude. Rushed in and out didn't give us a chance to sort out exchange and rushed us out of store. We were the only customer and none waiting. Treated like we were an inconvenience and an annoyance.I also tried contacting the store via phone before hand, but no one answered, automated voice said they where receiving high volumes of phone calls. When in store the two staff on duty where just mulling around no customers, no phone ringing - nothing that would suggest a busy store what so ever.Seems like the staff where just having a little me time and where not doing there job properly. Acted like we where an inconvenience to their quiet day they where forcefully creating for them selves by pushing customers in and out and not answering the phone.Expect much better from Argos / Sainsbury.Rose Lane store is leagues ahead in customer service - DO NOT use Gratton Wat store. Use Rose Lane store instead much more professional and helpful. They actually answered the phone when I rang - unfortunately under corvid are not able to do returns, so had to go to Gratton Way store to receive the shocking customers service as mentioned above.

My wife is a key worker working from home and the printer we just bought from Sainsbury Barnstaple has become faulty and she cannot do her work properly. I have tried to contact them but a recorded message is not very helpful. This is not very good service for key workers who are trying their best to keep working during these troubled times.

Husband tried to return an item that was not as described or fit for purpose at the ROSE LANE ARGOS, we called customer services before making the one hour round trip to return the item to make sure it was returnable, upon arrival to the store the manager wouldnâ??t come and see/speak to my husband or to inspect the item, the store staff just said it couldnâ??t be returned because it had been used (it was a bike that had been ridden up and down the road once and we could see it was too small for my husbands daughter as soon as she starting riding it, even though we had followed the age/height guide given on the website when we bought it for her for her birthday) When husband came home again I called customer services a second time to explain that under the consumer rights act 2015 it was technically illegal for the manager to refuse a refund/return. Customer services agreed with this and called the store to explain this to the manager, they however refused to come to the phone, relaying information through another colleague still saying he would not accept the return to his store because the bike was covered in mud and grass. This was an outright lie and we were appalled that it was even said. The bike has white tyres so you could see it had touched the road but they werenâ??t filthy as implied. We offered to email pictures of the bike to Customer services which we had already disassembled and put back into the box but customer services said it wasnâ??t necessary and they called the Argos at Sainsburyâ??s Gratton Way and spoke to the manager there (Ginny) who was incredibly polite and understood completely that it was outrageous that we had been refused the refund/return. We drove back into Barnstaple again to her store and she happily refunded the item for us. We have been loyal customers to the Rose Lane store for many years, spending thousands upon thousands for Christmas birthdays etc. But safe to say we shall be using the Gratton Way Argos from now on, as the manager in the Rose Lane store is rude and uneducated, even though they thought they were following a store policy, they clearly had no knowledge of their rights as a manager or our rights as a buyer.

Two points here. Firstly, they have changed the layout around now do looking for items on their VDUs is easier. However the payment process is confusing and slow. If you want to make it easier for yourself buynonline first.
Secondly be cautious about the statutory guarantee. I bought an electronic item from them and they found a way of dismissing the guarantee even though it was caused by a breakdown and not damage. Either pay the extra for the insurance or don't count much on the guarantee
