It's a bank. Does what it needs to do. To be honest most of us use the app but if you need to speak to someone face to face I guess this is the place for you.

Helpful staff but couldn't resolve my problem

Went into the Barnstaple branch today at 9.30am and sat in the ?Waiting area ? for 30mins. Gave up and left .Returned at11.30am waited again and a polite person asked if she could help. I informed the person that I wanted to open two cash Issa for myself and my wife. The parson then referred to my wife as?the other applicant? on each occasion. The end result was that there are no appointments for the rest of the month, (26 days) and I should download the app and take photos of my D/lic. Passport and of myself prior to revisiting the branch to open the said Isas. I have tried but it will not accept my photos so it would appear Barclays are not the least interested in our investment of £40,000.00 for this financial year or £40,000.00 after aApril 5 2023. What a way to do business.

Having banked with Barclays for over 40 years the service gets worse and worse, its almost impossible to speak to any one, they want to lend you money when you don?t need it and won?t lend you money when you do !

They werw unable to do what we wanted on the phone so we had to go into branch. There were not many staff, not many places to sit and I can't stand for long periods of time due to health conditions so we left. We had been nationwide before this bank and the level of customer service was next level, as well as comfort and plenty of seating for a small wait.

All I had was a 30 second quiery! After going through endless recorded questions and pressing various numbers I was then told there was a 29 min queue. What kind of service is this? As soon as I can I will be closing my account.

Great customer service at this bank but I am shocked and horrified that Barclays Bank is investing my savings and my pension fund in extracting fossil fuels, and fuelling the climate crisis. NOT IN MY NAME

I've just opened an account which was a pleasant experience. I then purchased a bankers draft in American dollars. Everything went smoothly and pleasantly. I was told that the draft would be ready the next day and sure enough it arrived in the mail in a registered packet the day after. I'm looking forward to a rewarding experience banking with Barclays in Barnstaple.

Very poor service.unable to phone bank in barnstaple only get through to some call centre.been waiting 3 weeks for a new pin sentry machine.only to be told they are sending another one out.should i wait another 3 weeks for that one not to turn up also?

On returning from France, my partner and I had to change our address, set up a new joint account and instigate a number of new direct debits. Being unable to do any of this via the internet, we went into the Barnstaple branch.
The service we received was superb. The staff were knowledgeable, smart and efficient. Every time we have used the branch the staff have been helpful and polite. Gold stars all round.

I've banked with barclays for years. When phoning the call centre this morning because you can't call the bank direct to set my son up with his own account it takes the man 10 minutes to work out what branch I want I even had to Google the postcode for him to then be told you can't have a appointment after 3!! Well that's helpful seeing as my son is at school until 3.30! If your open until 5 surely you should have appointments available until 5!!!
