This is the first negative review I have been forced to leave for a pharmacy I have been using regularly for nearly ten years! Absolutely sickened with the service we received yesterday, 3 staff on, the female of the 3 was serving a customer Infront of me with a very condescending attitude, I finally got approached by one of the staff, I had come to collect a monthly prescription as we always do. He told me he couldn't find it, shaking a box at me in a very arrogant manner decided to start an argument that there was no way it was possible I had been picking up a repeat prescription, gave no alternatives as to what we needed to do and decided to be just very belligerent. Being a healthcare professional myself and liaising regularly with all the pharmacies across North Devon, I was in complete shock! I went next door into the surgery and explained the situation, they too confirmed there we're repeating prescriptions and very kindly printed another copy for me. When I returned to finally collect my daughter's medication he carried on with his ignorance and refused to dispense as apparently I had called him an 'idiot'.... the queue was getting larger with elderly and disabled people, his colleagues sniggered behind the counter and hid. I felt very embarrassed for them. I'm I'll myself and in alot of pain, we had to travel to another pharmacy in the area where we we're treated and served with professionalism. It would seem that our lovely community pharmacy has turned into a business, but I fear that without people skills and customer service training they won't be around for very long. I have discussed this experience with my peers and will be notifying all our partnering agencies to not use them anymore. They will be visited by many ill customers on a daily basis, diffusing a stressful situation is paramount in this industry....they would do well to heed this advice.

Poor customer service, stood waiting for 30 mins with 2 people in front of me whilst listening to the staff out the back talking about personal lives. When someone eventually came from behind the desk and i did get served there was no apology for the wait or even a hello just a 'whose next'. Then told to wait another 10mins for them to do however actuallyh ended up being 25mins!! I understand pharmacies are busy but the service here is unacceptable. Serious customer service training needed asap and the shop is over cluttered, no one buys anything on the stands as they are messy with no prices on?? it just looks a mess the whole shop even behind the counter, no pride in the shop at all.

Doctor rings me 9am to say prescription ready at lloyds chemist , so i drive there 2pm to find out they got to order the items as not in stock (after a long wait) , waste of petrol and my time.

I dropped in a prescription last Friday for one box of tablets. The pharmacist found the item but said it would take a while to process. I could not wait then so said I would call back later. I arrived at 10.11 on Monday to collect. There were three people in front of me in the queue. There were three staff in the shop but none of them appeared interested in serving. I reached the front of the queue at 10.39, nearly half an hour later, after they had served two of the three people in the queue. It then took another 7 minutes to find the prescription. No apology for having to wait. They should lose their NHS accreditation.

Terrible pharmacy. Always an incredibly long wait and they don?t always have it ready. Not suitable for working people to be waiting for up to an hour. This week they?ve been closed and you?re told to ring a number to get your prescription elsewhere-no one has answered the phone all week and my prescription ran out 5days ago. I don?t know how they think this is acceptable when there?s poorly people going without any medication. I will be changing my pharmacy asap.

Shocking customer service, lazy and well let's be honest totally usless.Keep you waiting for 10 mins even before being served. Then another half hour for them to slowly find your medication all whilst talking about they private life. Avoid at all cost.. Unless you got all day to stand around.

This place is terrible! The staff are extremely rude and unhelpful!! After walking 2 miles to collect my repeat prescription, I was told they had lost it and I would have to wait an hour for the pharmacist to get back. When I said I couldn't do this she threw my prescription at me and said" You'd better take it somewhere else then!. When I said I was going to complain she said"crack on!!".Iwork in retail and if I spoke to a customer like that I would be sacked on the spot. I will no longer be using this chemist and I would advise anyone else not to either. They are just rude!!

I've come in for my flu vacation, I have being ignored by staff for 5 minutes, then asked to take a seat, and ignored again. Nobody else in the shop. Awuful customer service, feel like I am an annoyanc

Never have prescriptions ready, I understand that at this point in time it's difficult for the healthcare industry. But when you continually put in a repeat and give plenty of time for it to be there ready and waiting, but continuously told "we just need to make it up, will be 5-10 mins" kinda makes you think the management of the shop could need improving.

I think that the majority of people who leave negative feedback on this pharmacy need a good dose of reality. I have used this pharmacy for over fifteen years and my medication usually exceeds eight different prescriptions. I have never witnessed any rudeness directed at customers. What I have witnessed, is all staff constantly busy with their particular task, never stood hanging around, chatting or gazing aimlessly into space. Pharmacists are required to concentrate at all times so that mistakes don?t happen. Having worked in theatre and on the wards for over thirty five years I am in a position to know that in times of stress or lack of judgment, doctors can make mistakes when issuing or writing up prescriptions. This can be a decimal point in the wrong place. It is your pharmacist who has the knowledge and awareness to question those mistakes. In other words they are looking after you and all you do is to criticise simply because you might have to wait a little longer than you had hoped. Also quite often prescriptions haven?t even made it over from your doctor so then the pharmacy staff are busy chasing up your script. So next time you visit your pharmacy take a step back and you will see that everyone is working, not hanging around chatting. Working so that you get your medication. Also take a minute to look around the pharmacy and see just how many different drugs are in sight and how many completed packs of meds are staked waiting for collection. Be patient, don?t get irritable. All it does is slow things down. Lloyd?s pharmacy Litchdon Street Barnstaple 5 stars every time.

Very unorganised, never enough staff and very rarely get things right. I only use them when I need a medication quickly. I use pharmacy 2u for my normal prescription and is absolutely faultless service and being accurate. Lloyds need to get there act together!

I cannot praise this pharmacy highly enough. Through no fault of their own they had to take on the workload from their pharmacy at Rose Lane. Yes, very often we do have a longer wait, but they are human and sometimes get it wrong, and very often get tired through being rushed off their feet. I hear so many people complaining to the staff there, and maybe they do get a bit disgruntled at times. I think anyone would when they are trying their hardest to please everyone. In my view they go above and beyond in trying to help. We could easily have changed to another pharmacy, but we are loyal to Lloyds, Landkey Road for all their help and kindness over the years. Thank you to all of you and please stay safe.
