A very helpful girl behind the counter who unfortunately was unable to meet my request due to issues with information on my part, but the experience was made negative by the two 'greeters' who stand in the middle of the entrance section and were not willing to help, passing me instead to the counters. I'm not sure what the role of the two greeters is supposed to be, but to be honest it would have been a far better experience without them given their unwillingness to help.Reply to response from owner:Thanks for your response James, unfortunately it does nothing to change the fact that visiting this branch is a poor experience.Upon entering I asked to sit down with a member of staff to discuss my account and ask questions about how to make international payments, and I was told directly by two members of staff that they 'do not do sit downs' at the branch, to which I responded that that is very strange in my opinion. I was then directed to the counter where the girl tried her best to help me but in the end wasn't really able to.I am now seriously considering changing who I do my banking with, or at least who I use to manage my current account, because the reason I visit in person is because I expect that my bank can help me solve my issues and manage my money more quickly and easily than doing everything myself online.Likewise, have a good weekend.

Went in with my mum who is in her eighties and very with it, to transfer some money. Was seen by a foreign lady who never smiled once, never had any customer service skills and was very brash and harsh. My mum said if I lived here I wouldn?t use this branch. Luckily for her she lives in Somerset and the Yeovil branch is outstanding, has amazing customer service and are all very friendly and helpful. Not impressed at all with this branch

Went in today to close a joint account. The guy on the front desk was immediately confrontational saying they had no time or the facility to do so. He also accused us of lying about the phone call we had before visiting the branch which is nearly 20 miles from my house. After refusing to leave he booked us in, 10 minutes of waiting we were seen by Anna, she was very helpful and it only took around 10 minutes to do

Visited to sort out an account and also to check if a text message that had been sent to my phone was valid or a possible scam. All dealt with very quickly.

Andrea on front desk completely unhelpful, confrontational, condescending and painful to talk to. Has apparently worked there a long time but evidently needs entry-level customer service training. Scott on the other hand was very helpful, but even simple tasks like handing in a mandate change form take an inordinate amount of time.

well, they don't open accounts for international students (unless you are renting a whole house with all the bills on your name)really weird policies

Absolutely horrible customer service. The lady was rude to my disabled parents she was less than useless provided 0 help for them. (Her name was Andrea) kept telling us the date in which things we're enforced which is absolutely useless to us. Kept talking over my mum If I could give 0 stars I would

Recently opened a Barclays account after a recommendation from a friend. I love it! The app is so user friendly, efficient and clear. I decided to switch from my old account however had to stop it mid switch. I popped into the Exeter branch to see if they could help, the man on the front desk wasn?t the most helpful however staff member Elaine overheard my struggle and offered to help. She sat us down and tried to cancel the switch. It was too late however Elaine managed to email someone who cancelled my switch the next day! Even though I had pass the switch cancellation period. Elaine was so helpful and an absolute life saver:)) great experience in my first week with Barclays

Best not to use to this bank. Given their investment in fossil fuels (biggest investor in Europe) they are helping to create more extreme weather conditions.

Barclays have financed more fossil fuel projects than any of the UK?s largest banks. This is despite warnings from climate scientists that we need to reduce fossil fuel use immediately to avoid catastrophic climate change. 20 million at risk of starving in Africa due to drought, India closing its wheat exports due to failed harvests, Northern Italy?s drought that threatens its food production- all a taste of what is coming in the next 20 years . Thanks Barclays.
