Leaving a message in the hopes that the Google Business admin can liaise regularly with shop staff to get up-to-date opening hours so this page can remain current. Too often residents schlep over only to find it closed due to staffing. Knowing in advance whether the PO is closed would be a big help.

You turned up to find it frequently closed due to lack of trained staff available. I don't understand the point of having opening hours, if you're often not open during them.

I would advise anyone to avoid this place. My first visit and never again. The rudest staff I have ever met. Absolutely atrocious attitude towards customers. I waited at least 10 minutes before anyone came to the kiosk. Will now go to Whimple or West Hill.The shop side is no better. I work in this sector and believe me if my colleagues had an attitude like these people they would be having written warnings followed by the sack.

I have made over ten wasted journeys to this Post Office to find it temporarily closed because no one in the store is trained. I would recommend calling in advance of your arrival to find out if it is open.

Wish I could give less that 1 star. Awful & incompetent service. Went down yesterday to drop off a free post return parcel to be told ?no one is trained to run the post office?. Fine but why keep the online LIVE opening hours as open 9-5pm if it?s not?!?!?! UPDATE YOUR OPENING HOURS so people don?t waste their time & fuel! Was told by two members of staff that there will ?definitely? be someone working on the postoffice today between 10-2pm so naively I believed them. Of course, I?ve just got home after trying again today feeling very frustrated & annoyed because of course contrary to the staffs promises yesterday, I found the exact same scenario today - no staff, no service!With the price of fuel at the moment & the climate crisis I?m so angry. I used the last of my fuel on two wasted journeys to this shop to attempt to post a pre paid parcel which surely can?t be that complicated, and I still have the parcel in my car ?Update your online opening hours if you don?t have the resource to be running a post office, or at least tell your shop assistants to be honest about staffing levels & advise customers to go elsewhere, NOT to give false promises we return & are repeatedly turned away due to lack of resource, yet again ?Needless to say I won?t be trying (or shopping) here again.

what?s the point of even having a post office here when it?s never open??! was standing by the desk for ages holding my parcels before the staff actually told me it was closed, despite it being 2 in the afternoon. no apologises from the staff just a do not care attitude.

March 2020.Unfortunately Cranbrook Post Office located in the Younghayes Road Southern Co-op branch is currently experiencing staffing issues so opening times are very much hit and miss although the quality of service when it is actually open is very good..A good alternative is at the Royal Mail depot located at Osprey Road, Sowton which is operated by Royal Mail staff and is therefore guaranteed to be open when it should be plus it has a huge car park which is free.

I have tried on 5 or 6 occasions in the past 5 days to post off two smallish parcels and every time the post office has been closed in spite of it meant to be open until 10.00 pm . On the last occasion one of the Co-op staff who man the post office was attending to a lady and when she finished promptly told me it was closed till Monday. That was the third time I had been in on Saturday. Attitude and service is absolutely disgusting. Something needs to be done ??

This is the worst post office I have ever been to. The lady who frequently serves me, is rude and hides in the back when people come in to post package and tells her work colleague it?s shut even when it says it?s open online. She also overcharges on small packages. I would give it a 0 star rating if I could. Absolutely appalling customer service

Shockingly bad post office. Wasted about four or five lunch breaks to find post office closed, out of order or any other excuse the cashier can find to not operate it. Post Office need to strip this of its franchise as it is clearly not meeting any of the service it should be offering. Drive to Broadclyst for your own sanity and AVOID.

When ever I go to post an item, its either closed or extremely slow service. The main reason is no one is trained to use the post office, they open it when ever they feel like it..

Avoid this post office. I tried once to send a parcel only to be told in a disgruntled voice "huh I have to turn the system on, so you can't" not even a sorry or even bother to help me.Another time I tried to buy a book of 1st class stamps on a Sunday only to be told we don't sell stamps on a Sunday, I mean really!?! I've managed elsewhere before.AVIID LIKE THE CORONAVIRUS!

Don't give them business. If you can, find postal services elsewhere. They don't want to work and provide services, but just find excuses why to shut the office down or make you wait for ages.Managers have a covid handy now to blame. But the true reason is that they simply don't want to serve you.
