End up in these Premier Inns through work....most of them, this one included, leave the running of the place to 3 or 4 women....be they young or more mature...is irrelevant.....probably all on minimum wage....beers expensive, and the food is debatable....have something off the grill....swerve the prawn pasta....or the pizza.....the staff work hard, really hard.....shame really....could be so much more

Comfortable, clean and at a very convenient location. Parking is at the Pay&Display that serves the train station. Value cooked breakfast with vegetarian options; on quieter days is cooked to order. Self-service coffee machine.

Filthy room offered a free breakfast to compensate but even that was not upto normal premier inn standard.

I found that at the Premier Inn Exeter that the staff are very friendly and helpful, my room was very tidy and I had a good soke in the bath, and the breakfast was very good.

Great place near the train station. Staff easy to talk to, food and drink was good also. Stayed on 1st floor which was very noisy from 7am each morning.Rooms: Clean with everything working. Free wifi is a bit slow but works well.Walkability: Train Station is within 30 seconds of the front door of the hotel. Buses stop outside regularly, walking into town takes 15 mins uphill, but coming back with shopping is easy.Food & drinks: Food and drink was good, though the value offer with a meal deal makes it worthwhile with free breakfast and kids eat that free. Free extra tea/coffee etc materials left out for customers to take back to rooms which is nice,

Arrived at 8pm after a long drive and asked to eat in the restaurant which was very quiet to be told the next table available would be at 9.15pm. Two hungry children and adults we had to order a takeaway. Family room only had the double bed made up and both children's beds were left as a sofa, no extra linen. On waking up the following morning we found an uninvited guest had taken a nibble to one of my daughters! Caught in a tissue and passed over at reception with no follow up given. Rooms were clean, breakfast was good but the hotel lacks the extra service that I've had in other premiers. On a positive note it's opposite the train station which is great for getting about.

No greeting, no welcome, not even a smile, just handed a doorcard key. Never asked what time we wanted breakfast or if we wanted to book a table in the restaurant. This was your duty manager. No hospitality training whatsoever. Appalling. We went to the restaurant and was told by the duty manager again that we only have one chef and were busy with a table of 4 and a table of 3. The restaurant was practically empty. Unfortunately we had to go elsewhere for food. When we got back, we approached another member of staff. Thinking her name was Oriella asked for a table the following evening, and what a difference .How pleasant polite and friendly service we experienced ,nothing was too much trouble. She was a great asset to the company and saved the rest of our stay. She obviously had hospitality training and was very good at her job . Should be promoted to duty manager.Rooms: Room was ok but couldn't open window as it stunk if cigarette and weed. The roof outside the window was littered with cigarette ends joints and used syringes.

Seemed to be so short staffed. Only one guy ever seemed to be doing anything so ended up running around like crazy whilst other team member wandered around aimlessly. (He had real personal hygiene issues so the wandering was even worse because he was spreading the smell around)

They could not provide an evening meal as they had no chef, so had to walk to Weatherspoons. Some parts of breakfast where cold. The beds were mega comfortable
