Came here are ordered 2 coffees and two breakfasts. Coffees were great. Staff came over with 2 plates of toast and said for us. No we replied. I showed the receipt and was told there had been an error. Fine, things happen. Then came back with 2 small breakfasts, so showed receipt showing 1 small and 1 large. Third time lucky? Noooo. Right orders but food lukewarm at best. Given a refund but that was a palaver. I'm afraid that is the last time I'd order food from here.

Sainsburys decided to keep this cafe open. It used to be really good however this morning was diabolical. Order x2 breakfasts....we were given ticket No 1. So, we get someone else's eggs on toast , and had to get the receipt out to corroborate that we actually ordered full English. Whilst engaged with a mos, another breakfast tray arrives but again not our order. Eventually brunch arrives, and it was very cold, possibly the mini breakfast was sat on the side whilst the full English was cooked. Congealed egg, sausage which was undercooked. Perhaps some training may need to be undertaken about food safety. Who wants to be ill over Christmas. Ending on a positive, the Americano was good and I saved myself some calories. Such a shame.

My wife went in to pay for petrol and a coffee, the card machine was playing up. The machine said that she had entered her pin number too many times even though she had used the contactless chip. The woman serving her said that your bank has frozen your account and that you need to pay in another way (we had no other means of paying at that time), a colleague of the woman suggested that she allow my wife to try the card again but the woman serving refused and insisted that my wife give out our details (in front of an increasing audience of other customers.) After my wife had given our details to the woman the woman said in a kurt manor "You won't be able to have the coffee you want now either". Before leaving my wife was given a long print out and told that she must pay this within seven days, she made my wife feel so small. We went to the cash machine in the main supermarket, to draw out the money we owe. I took it in personally and suggested to the woman that the machines were possibly faulty as I had just withdrawn cash from the machine with the same card. She was immediately adversarial saying that her machine was fine suggesting that the fault was ours. I have to admit I got a bit angry with her myself and told her how much she had embarrassed my wife she told me that I should keep my voice down so at that point I slammed the money on the counter and stormed out.I think that this branch needs some customer service training as there staff are rude discourteous and lack discretion when handling a sensative/embarrassing situation. And when they are told how disgraceful their behaviour is they become antagonistic.

The air machine payments are a problem. The menu and buttons don't seem to match up in any kind of logical way, meaning I ended up paying for the other thing which I didn't need. Tried again, maybe I missed something. Was really careful. Guess what? Same thing. I don't know what monkey designed that thing but they would be more useful going back to the zoo. A 5 year old could have done better. E5 petrol is no longer available here making this place useless for me as my car can't have the new petrol. Add these to the fact that you almost always have to queue to get into the place means I won't be bothering to go back anytime.

0 stars if that?s even possible, brought back an item to be told i would have to have a refund as they didn?t sell it anymore, just to walk down the aisle too find them right in front of me. Poor and rude service from the customer service lady on the desk, couldn?t let me speak or even crack a smile.

I have given a score of 2 only because the croissant and bacon were excellent. The problem was ordering, service and cleanliness. On the board going it it showed the names of different cups of coffee for sale, I wanted a latte size coffee but without milk - just strong black coffee, I was informed I could not have a cup I had to have a mug - silly me asked why it was advertised and was told it stoped when they closed for Covid. Eighteen months for a new poster seems a long time. I then explained I wanted a strong black coffee cup size. Then as I was moving away I was surprised when she asked me for my nectar card and payment . There was a queue of about eight behind me but at the other end of the counter was a lady doing nothing - her job was to make the coffees. Cleaning up the restaurant were three people, the restaurant was only half full and other bustling about in the kitchen - it would have speeded up service if three had been serving one tasking orders, one taking money and one service coffee so not to have a long queue. When I went to get the coffee we were given the filter coffee and not from the machine I expected as I had said expresso, the lady there could not change the order I would need to go back to where it was ordered - I excepted the coffee as my will to live was dissipating fast. It was flavoured water. The floor look like it had not been swept for days and the table sticky. What I felt was the final insult, one was expected to take our food trays to a rack when we had finished (not sure what the staff were doing in the restaurant). The price we paid was the same as other local cafes were one gets full service. However I assume the reason is Covid as that is given to all substandrd things now. After poor service I declined to take my tray to the rack - I thought it might give one of the 'staff wondering around' something to do. Staff handling food/drinks did not wear masks

Pulled into Sainsburys garage Pinhoe, my first visit since it reopened, as my tyres where getting low on air. There is now a charge of 30p to inflate tyres and have a 3 minute time limit. Payment is contactless only either with card or phone at the machine. Once parked next to the machine, remove dust caps first, insert tyre pressure required, then use your preferred payment method.I did mine well within the time limit allowed but stayed next to the machine until my payment ended.

After a long wait to get served, I asked the question how long would it be before my meal would be served, I was told there was a 15 minute wait. I placed my order and waited. Whilst seated, I got chatting to a few people who were complaining about the wait for their food. I told them there was a 15 minute wait. They just laughed! After 30 minutes had gone by, I went to the till to ask what had happened to my meal and miraculously it appeared. The roast dinner was luke warm, the yorkshire pudding was hard and the peas were shrivelled up. I thought the meal would have at least been served at the correct temperature, especially after the time I had to wait. I was too fed up and hungry and had an appointment to attend so no time to get food elsewhere. I felt it would have been a waste of time to say anything as others were complaining. The management of the cafe needs looking at, there was 1 young girl who looked like she was in training, so it was hardly her fault, she was literally left in the deep end to cope with everything. It really is a shame the standards are so low. It could be a good place to eat if the right staff were put in place.
