Top pub, fantastic beers and very friendly knowledgeable staff. Would never go anywhere else in Exeter.

I used to frequently visit, sadly my last visit was beyond disappointing with unhelpful staff who don’t understand what customer service is. Widely acknowledged to be one of Exeter’s best ale and cider pubs, The Old Firehouse is very popular with students and locals alike and offers a buzzy atmosphere along with a great range of food and drink. Our Head Chef has been trained to the highest level in French, Italian and traditional English cuisine and creates delicious, rustic food using locally-sourced ingredients where possible. From pub favourites and delicious vegetarian dishes to giant pizzas to feed a crowd, there’s so much choice that no-one’s going to go hungry!
We serve food daily from midday and welcome bookings for parties of six people or more, which must be made at least two days in advance via email. Children over 10 are welcome from 12 noon to 5pm.
