Really disappointed to leave this review.I took my Jeep XJ to Des Lake to sort out overheating issues quite some time ago. Des replaced the head gasket and sent the head away to be skimmed.I collected the Jeep several months later after much chasing (to be fair I originally said there was no urgency) only to find the car overheated on the way home. Des admitted that he should have given it a longer test run, though I had only driven it ~3 miles until the thing overheated, necessitating the need for it to be towed home at my expense. As far as I was concerned Des had failed to resolve the issue, though Des would not agree to a partial refund and would not troubleshoot further unless I'd commit to spending more. (I had already parted with exactly £1000 - cash in hand!)There was an impasse for some time, in part because I had moved away but also because I did not know what to do for the best given the situation seemed completely unreasonable. The only good thing to say was that Des was happy for the Jeep to be left in his yard until I decided what to do with it, but this was hardly my fault and no doubt he received further payment for the scrap value of the vehicle when I eventually decided to cut my losses and let it go. - To which I did not receive a single penny. One to avoid, I'm afraid.
