Most stunningly pretty little village that we somehow overlooked last time we were holidaying in nearby Combe Martin. This time we stumbled upon it - Berrynarbor is within walking distance.Free car park by the Post Office/village shop, which is very friendly and offers a surprising range of goods at reasonable prices.Walk down the hill, and several gardens (and one living room window) feature flowerpot men-type effigies, the relevance of which must be known to locals. Claude's Garden is a tranquil, slightly hidden village green which was being strimmed during our fleeting visit, helping to maintain the standard which presumably helped Berrynarbor win its best-kept village award in 2010 - which it deserves to win again.
