Avoid at all cost.Had my W126 for various mechanical jobs, and underbody welding. Welding some of the worst I have ever seen, and not even priced accordingly. I have seen some bad welding in my time but this was a true horror show. The extent of its appalling jagged clumsiness became gradually clear over time as I looked at it more and more on my own mid-rise ramp at home after I got the car back. I have since had to have it re-done by someone that knows how to weld.Broke some interior trim, seat belt presenter stripped gear etc, and didn't tell me - discovered later.Absolutely no improvement on lumpy idle - despite reassuring me that it just needed "a bit of a tune-up". Not sure what "a bit of a tune up" means. But I can tell you that it costs a couple of hundred quid and results in no discernible difference to your car whatsoever.Tried to hand the car back to me with the wheel arch liners in the boot and pretended they were like that when I gave it to him. In retrospect it became clear that this was because Dave had lost the fasteners, because I told him that they definitely hadn't been in the boot when I gave the car and asked him to refit them.He did refit them - but it transpired later that he had just wanged in a load of cheap self-tappers randomly to compensate for having lost the fasteners. Didn't use the pre-existing holes so I now have wheel arches with a load of puncture holes and bare metal, in a very rust-prone area of any car - let alone an 80's W126. He also punctured the coolant reservoir with one of the self-tappers, causing a slow leak which I discovered some weeks later (with the self tapper stuck in it, just in case you're going to try and deny it, Dave).I have seen some shoddy outfits over the years, but this one stands out against some stiff competition. On the plus side, Dave was a friendly sort of bloke to talk to. That's the only positive I can think of. I try not to leave negative reviews apart from the very rare occasions that things are so bad that I want to give other members of the general public fair warning. The quality of the work here was such that this is one of those times. Maybe for a routine oil change at most, if everyone else is booked up. But then again, why not change the oil yourself and save some money? My advice - avoid unless you want your car broken by someone who has no idea what they are doing. No idea how he is still trading.Services: Engine repair
