I expected that I would have to make an appointment and come back a few days later, but at the counter the assistant dealt with everything in a few minutes, as well as making photocopies of forms I'd completed AND sending the originals to the Edinburgh office in the internal mail so saving me a few pounds I would have had to pay for postage of a tracked/signed-for letter.
