I visited East Street Antiques recently and was amazed at the range of antiques on offer. Upon entering, I was greeted by friendly staff who were more than happy to assist me in my exploration of their vast collections. The shop itself was tastefully arranged, with each item thoughtfully displayed to showcase its unique beauty. The range of antiques available was truly impressive. From exquisite furniture pieces to delicate porcelain and vintage jewellery, there was something for all tastes and interests. What truly stood out was the passion of the staff, who readily shared fascinating stories and insights. Their expertise made the experience fun and enjoyable. Overall, my visit to East Street Antiques was delightful. The combination of a charming ambiance, a diverse collection of antiques, and knowledgeable staff made it a memorable experience. This shop is definitely worth a visit.

The shop itself had some interesting items and it would have provided some serious buying potential, however, I couldn't believe how rude, snobby and seemingly ageist, the lady who was working in the shop at the time was (she works in Plymouth shop on Saturdays). My fiance and I were interested in an item, only to be met by a response of "well that's very expensive" (implying we couldn't afford it) without a clue of our budget or personal circumstances. Disgusting behaviour. Completely the wrong attitude if you want to give customers a positive experience to ensure they return... because, we certainly will not! All the other shops we visited that day were incredibly welcoming so they will have our business. Massive mistake lady.... HUGE... #prettywoman

Interesting shop but owner /assistant super rude!Extremely bad attitude when my boyfriend (very politely) asked if she could go any lower on an item he wanted to buy, she said ?NO? as short as that to which my partner tried to make light of the (at that moment no situation) and said ? oh well always worth a try!? But still of course wanted to purchase it at asking price. A simple ? sorry I can?t go any lower? is the normal polite response if the owner is reading this!!She began to berate him on how he shouldn?t ask for any discount ( isn?t that the complete nature of antique buying!?!? Haggling, especially when buying more than one item?)and that if ?he worked for a living? he would understand! As a royal marine and having served 2 tours to be told that by a shop owner for simply asking if she was negotiable on price is a joke. Bizarre is the only word. Won?t be returning!

Visited today found shop assistant extremely rude and unhelpful. I asked if a stags head was real or reproduction, and was told to go out on to Darmoor and find a real one if thats what i wanted. So please draw your on conclusions. Great let down to all the other helpful friendly shops in Ashburton.

Out of all the different antique shops in this small town I found this one the most interesting. It actually has some real finds And you have to go look for it. This shops is over three floor and every room is full of great stuff like glass and silver ware and pottery and furniture ect ect. I spend a lovely hour in there just going through the different rooms ... telling myself that I don't need this or that. In the end I had so many things I wanted to buy that I din't buy any. Now I'm regretting it.
