I just visited this shop today. A young volunteer was checking stock for the 5 minutes we were there, for a brief moment she spoke to a young guy (colleague) who was sat at the till, within 1 minute another women with a ponytail came out the back and proceeded to tell her off in full view of customers for talking to the guy, she then said the stock on the rails needed checking which I had just witnessed her doing previously. Who ever the women is on the power trip should lighten up or consider a new job where she's not over people. It was tantamount to bullying in my view.

Sadly one of the dullest charity shops on Newton.Bric is always so bland. No friendly vibe sadly. Quite pricey

Always been a supporter of charity shops and charities in general. But went into this local shop of ours today and not a lovely experience at all!My 4yr daughter was shouted at and literally reduced to tears because she was trying out a little kids trike out that they had for sale! Barely got onto it in the shop & she was literally shouted at by some member of staff unsure if Manager. I was also going to make a purchase, but I was in total shock at what just happened. So I left my item and said I'll never be shopping here again in the future. I have made sure that all my family now know PDSA aren't kid friendly places to shop and obviously don't mind shouting at their customers, especially children!

Some great quirky items in this charity shop and it's all for a good cause so definitely worth a look. They have some lovely new items with really pretty animal graphics as well as the standard charity shop fare (clothes, books, greetings cards etc).

I have always been a keen supporter of the PDSA & will continue to be so. However, I called in to my local shop yesterday to ask a question regarding stock items and the man at the counter referred me to another man, presumably the shop manager. At this point I should mention that I have a deformity affecting both my forearms & I am quite used to people noticing this with a quick glance. However, as I started to talk to the manager about my enquiry I realised that he seemed unable to look at my face and just constantly looked at my arms. I found this quite insulting, discriminatory & unnecessary. May I suggest that whoever is the supervisor of this shop takes note of my comments and hopefully reminds this particular member of staff that a little more discretion will avoid any repeats of this situation for the sake of other disabled customers.
