Moved to this pharmacy as Boots decided to close theirs at Henders Corner. I should?ve moved sooner. Staff are always courteous. Greeted with a smile and a ?how can I help you?. They are clearly very busy but this does not get in the way of their customer service.

A good pharmacy with helpful staff, but unfortunately very busy and understaffed!

INCREDIBLY RUDE. i have epilepsy and so i have a repeat prescription. i requested my medication a week and half before picking it up, in which i cannot request any earlier as it will be declined for being ordered too early. I arrive at the pharmacy and the medication is not ready, i am told they do not have it. i go on to politely ask them if they could please have a look and i will take anything they have in stock and come collect the rest when it is ready. i did not have enough medication to last me the next couple days as i am going away. i thought after a week and a half of my request for my medication being accepted by the doctors, my prescription would be ready as at home in oxford, i can have my request accepted and be able to pick it up the very same day or the next day latest. She was very rude and just walked away to speak to a colleague. As my friend and i sat in the waiting area, i could hear the two of them speaking poorly about me saying that i should have requested my medication earlier etc. it turns out that they did in fact have my prescription. after roughly half an hour (which i understand due to dispensing etc) i was handed my medication abruptly and rudely. i simply said thank you and left. i do not agree with the manner in which my situation was handled and i am changing my designated pharmacy. i was very polite as i am to every service provider as a person who has previously worked in a similar job and i understand that people may be busy but there are ways to go about things just by simply returning the same energy and being polite in return. i am disgusted with the way they spoke about me badly and loudly behind my back and can now see why they have such low ratings. will NOT be returning.

This use to be the best pharmacy in Plymouth with Sian heading it who would treat customers compassionately and her knowledge and advice was invaluable.Sadly it is no longer being ran in the same manner. My husband is on repeat medication but it?s no longer ever ready on time so he has to go without, he still waiting on a simple outstanding part of it since November, so after 15 plus years he?s moved pharmacy to one who has prescriptions done even the day they are sent by the GP.I rarely need a prescription but my gp sent one to Hyde park for me before 9am on Tuesday, I thought a one off prescription wouldn?t be a problem so didn?t choose a different chemist, however queued for 40 minutes 2 days in a row to be told abruptly too busy so not ready and now said they?ll text me when it is. So who knows when this will be.I get other pharmacies are closing so pressure forming on those still open but manners cost nothing and other pharmacies are under the same pressures and budgets but are able to provide and be polite.

I have been with this pharmacy for five years. I noticed the increasing pressures on their service but they are always trying their best and willing to help.

Amazing service, more than helpful. Went above and beyond to help me.

The staff are always courteous and efficient, despite often unreasonable and abusive customers and an increasing workload from the adjustment of NHS services. The opening hours are so convenient and a real benefit when pharmacies are closing down around the city.

Always good service. At least they are always open, not like Wells as they dont open weekends

Although I appreciate that pharmacy?s are under pressure, I do feel that this pharmacy has gone down hill. The staff are rude and they are not as helpful as they used to be. Never have medication in stock. Have changed pharmacy so that?s one less to worry about.

This pharmacy used to be the best in Plymouth in my opinion. However in the last 6 months or so the service has been terrible. Firstly within my house there have been drug errors, missing meds, wrong medication, medication of someone else with the same name, which if my uncle had taken it would have made him very poorly. I had to take the medication back to the pharmacy after phoning the pharmacy as it had been delivered. I had to get an emergency script, which the pharmacist did not like, questioning why I had ran out, which I did not know, recieved a text the other day to say balance medication was ready to collect, turned out it was the medication I had ran out of in August, so the pharmacy had it after all. We now have to check medication before leaving. My mum was missing controlled drugs, she then had to get another prescription from the doctor, as the pharmacy said it had been dispatched, even though she called them straight after the delivery. This turned up later in the week so it had not been dispatched at all. The final straw was today when my mum had called to chase a medication which is a heart med, to be spoken to like something on the bottom of a shoe!!! She was told that the script only arrived today and would be made up tomorrow and deliveries had already gone out, my mum asked if a family member could come and collect it and she needed it as she has ran out. The lady kept interrupting her and was damn right rude. She said they were very busy and had flu jabs and Covid jabs going on, well if the workload is too much then this needs to be looked at. There is an expected level of service. I appreciate they are busy but that?s not our fault! There are signs up in there asking people to not be rude to the staff, they need to have a sign to remind them to speak to customers in the same manner. All 5 of us in this house have tonight moved our pharmacy. We will be making a formal complaint. Please check your medication before leaving and check the right amounts are in there. Please also send the staff on a customer service course. Such a shame!

Despite all of the problems facing all pharmacies now due to Govt budget cuts, Hyde Park Pharmacy still offer the best service I know of. I'm a patient with multiple medical needs and they rarely let me down with my essential medications. The strain on all the team is under is palpable If you are able to accept that delays are the norm now and try be as patient as you are able;, the team are really, really great.I had an urgent need for medication today, which was entirely my fault but which meant I put them under unnecessary pressure. They still managed to deliver what I needed TODAY!Please, everyone, give them a break! They're operating under the most impossible of conditions...For me, 98% of the time, are absolutely spot on, with their perfect operation of the online ordering service.....
