Very friendly staff

Today was the final straw for me. I am local and use this store many times but whenever I try and use the post office I have lost count on the amount of times the staff say it is closed. No matter what time of visit morn noon and night. I do believe it is advertised open until 10p.m but staff are so rude and turn you away saying its closed come back later or in a few hours or tomorrow. I have lost count the amount of times and this evening felt I cant be dealing with this anymore and just have to make a complaint now. It really isn't good enough!! I am aware of quite few people in the area who feel this way, now that I have voiced my opinion, so they are losing customers. I am one of them. With the exception of Jamie and Sue the staff are downright rude and miserable. Surely the company can help everyone by having a self service post office because the staff are always complaining even to the customers and serve them with such a poor attitude.

Poor management and customer service! A change in all manager and staff is needed!

I use this shop/post office every week and staff are always so rude and grumpy. The tall kind of bald man is nice and always happy so he is the exception and luckily he seems to be in there most days. But the others are miserable and unhelpful. I use the post office for convenience as it is close to where i live, but i wish i didnt have to. I dread going in there because i know i will be met with sour faces. The people who work in the post office are generally unhelpful and the woman with short hair in paticular always acts like she is having to do you a favour. Save yourself the hassle of having your good mood ruined and walk the extra mile and go elsewhere.

This is 100% Honesty, just as you would get from WHICH.CO.UK. : Had it not been for Lovely Genuine people like those who own the Shop + not Forgetting those Special Staff. I would have been Stranded, being Social Services let me down. : McColl,s I Love you for being You????

Bring back the co op they knew what customer service was. Since McColl's took over the staff are rude if they serve you but him out of there way not to. Store is very closed in and you can't get a pram around in here. Lack the stock the co op had and shelves are empty alot of the time. There delivery drivers block the road and make no attempt to park to allow others to pass.

Small shop, all the main newspapers. Convenient and very friendly staff.

I go here because it is near my work, but never again. The service is disgusting, apart from one older lady. The woman who served me today was so rude. Staff seem more concerned with talking about their nights out, or going on their break. I work in a customer facing role, if I treated anyone like that, I'd be lucky to still have a job. Disgusting.

Absolutely terrible. They are specifically catered to the alcoholics and smokers in around the Barbican area. The staff as much as admit it having asked about the lack of produce compared to the CooP that ran it previously. Staff are rude, arrogant, the fridges don't work, which cuts down on the range of produce further, and the past week it has been like walking into a sauna due to the AC not working.
Being a local who lives in the area I used to pop into the CooP and more often than not they had what was needed, this is no longer the case unless you want to grab an alcoholic beverage or cigarettes. Avoid if you can help it.

Nice little shop
Can feel crowded at the weekends as shoppers mix with drinkers.
Great place and only place on the barbican that sells cigarettes

Love this shop , although small and doesn't have the same offerings as the other one round the corner , the staff are friendly And remember locals which is a rarity these days .. So nice to have friendly and helpful staff

This, by co-op standards, is a tiny outlet. The one around 300 metres away isn't huge, but this falls squarely into corner shop territory.
This isn't necessarily a bad thing, given that it's on The Barbican; it's a touristy area, so it's too be expected.
It carries the essentials and serves its purpose well. If you require a bigger shop, head to the one close by.
