Very helpful when I left my shopping there by accident, drinks are really cold which is nice and the staff have always been friendly to me

They sell multipacks of cruzcampo which until recently could only be purchased in Spain. I love this shop and while they continue to stock the world's greatest beer I will continue to hand over my money in exchange.

The hotel was conveniently placed in the centre of Plymouth but I almost missed it as the entrance is just one door. The room was excellent as was the bed and facilities. I had an accessible room and the only fault was that I could not reach the rail in the wardrobe but they have promised me that this will be rectified as soon as I pointed it out. The staff were very friendly. The breakfast room was very hot and they could do with a couple more fans in there but the inclusive continental breakfast was perfectly adequate. No fancy bar or reception but perfect for what I needed. A little overpriced for what it was but I will stay again. Thank you

The hotel is undergoing work in that air conditioning is being put in which is vital - in fact in the hot weather the hotel is unbearable without it - there are no windows that open in any room and all the staff have to offer is a desk fan which is not much use as the rooms themselves are lovely and very roomy so need something more powerful There is a complimentary breakfast which is a positive A big negative however is I was advised the front door is locked at 11pm and entry only to guests with key card however we returned well past midnight to find the front door open no one visible and just walked in I was very disappointed especially as I had to find alternative place to sleep that night as due the heat it was impossible to stay When I advised staff I was told we know but we can't do anything - they did locate a second fan but this still made little effect

The hotel is in an unappealing part of the city. The entrance feels like a hostel. A twin room cost me just shy of £100 for the night, for which I got a dark and stuffy room with a high, thin, un-openable window at one end. The room itself was fine, but absolutely sweltering due to the lack of windows and only one fan. There is no air conditioning, as it was apparently in the process of being installed throughout the hotel, which meant all the ceilings had holes in and there was construction equipment in most of the corridors. The breakfast was severely lacking - poor quality coffee, a small selection of cereals, empty containers of what I assume had been juices, and toast. Theoretically we could also have 'requested' a bacon sandwich, but I saw no evidence of them. The hotel is also a seemingly endless maze of identical corridors, like something from a jump-scare video game. Overall, I would value my night here at about £30.

Great stay! all the staff where helpful and made me feel welcome. Breakfast variety was good. Location is excellent as it is right in the town centre with lots of shops near by as well as lots of places close by to eat at. Rooms where very clean and had everything in the room we needed.

Hotel would be fine if it wasn?t for the unprofessional staff, Stayed in room 201 which is right next to the lift so all night is going up and down as the only access to the upper floors is via the lift, Staff made a comment that there are ?permanent? residents on site - so make of that what you will? Unable to sleep due to the lift, told the staff at 05:30 when on my way to work, come back from work at 09:00 to check out and complain I had no sleep, spoke to a manager that obviously wasn?t senior staff as she didn?t have the ?power? to issue a refund, then run round in circles between hotels.com and Oyo, Oyo offered £16 refund! Of the £76 I paid for the night. Will never go near an Oyo hotel again

Made the booking through Airbnb 9 months ago and have just been told 10 days before my stay that the booking is cancelled. This was a special treat for my daughter to see Muse at Home Park and at this late stage there is no other accommodation in Plymouth. Not acceptable!! Looking at some of the reviews, it seems that this is quite a regular occurrence.

Expensive for what it is, a room with no windows. Not a great place to stay maybe if you are desperate stay otherwise save your money. Theres a reason why the reviews are poor, do your research before

Another Cancelled booking, made months ago. Very disappointing, very inconvenient, was offered an alternative 64km away. There should be required to pay compensation in a similar way to airlines if a flight is cancelled. Greed or incompetence, who knows?

Booked a room six months ago as travelling to Plymouth to see a band at home park. Today received a notice to say that the booking was being cancelled as they couldn't accommodate us. I wonder if the rooms booked early at cheaper rates are the ones being cancelled, as its odd that having booked over 6 months it would suddenly be unavailable.

We booked a stay well in advance for May, we have booked hundreds of pounds worth of tickets to see a band at home park and booked 3 rooms for several people at the hotel. We have been contacted to say that the hotel has overbooked and therefore our rooms are cancelled. There is now nowhere left available in the city for us to book and we are a bit stuffed. Appalling.
