I go in this place nearly everyday to use the post office upstairs. Happy helpful friendly staff who provide a great service. Really good location in the centre of town.

Not a bad store but seen as I'm on the subject of bad, there was one staff member in particular with a bad attitude. I was asked for an exemption card to prove I was exempt from wearing a face mask (they're not allowed to ask to see it either) but I obliged and showed it to her anyway, at which point she muttered \\\"you don't look very ill\\\". I almost ended up in an argument with this woman if I hadn't of walked away, all because I HAD an exemption card! I was pretty shocked at the blatant ignorance from this woman so obviously I put in a complaint, people's attitudes have completely gone to pot the last few months and from the most unlikely of people. Needless to say I won't be going in there again. This is more of a review on one staff member rather than the store itself but the staff make the store. If you want to be in a bad mood then this is the WHSmith for you!

Staff was helpful and I had no issue posting my parcels, however it would be nice to have a sign further back (closer to the stairs) for self service otherwise queues are always massive when they don't need to be - last time lots of people waiting and I had to ask around who was going to the counter and who was going to the self service and today it was 08:30 when I arrived and there was already a queue of about 10/12 people and I'm sure half of those wouldn't have any trouble using the self service machines

With the post office on the 1st floor it makes it worth a visit. Large choice of books magazines and stationary. There is an escalator but if you need a lift it is out of service a lot.

Always recommend this place for books, they have lots of collections and regularly take my some here to buy up the next half dozen reading books for him.

On both occasions visiting this branch, the queue has been somewhat lengthy for the Post Office. I appreciate this is not wholly the fault of the staff, but would be nice to see more cashier desks open; especially during busy times. Self service can be a little chaotic as, ordinarily, not everyone understands how to use them. Nonetheless, always have had a pleasant experience using their services.

Pretty good stationary store, but their base prices can be a little expensive. Great to look through when they gave deals and offers though. Having a post office too makes this WH Smith particularly useful.

I consider this a higher cost store but am often surprised at what I can find at very reasonable prices. Great for stationary items and gifts, books , calendars and cards
