I agree with the lack of smiling servers in a previous review. What a shame not to feel welcomed in this gorgeous setting and beautiful building. The staff seemed tense and unwilling to enter into any sort of discussion. Despite that a good choice on the menu and nice fresh cakes on display.p

We stopped on our way down to Truro a few times already and they don?t seem to like people coming over for a coffee. First time the lady didn?t even let us in and said ?we?re closed? second time they were still open but they only wanted to make Tea, no coffee.Very unfriendly ?I said it was only open for tea? Will not stop anymore for sure.

Gorgeous spot for a lovely breakfast. Super dog friendly and close to some lovely walks. A fab place for a decent brew too.

It's ok, limited menu, slightly above average prices, but very nice people. Not enough indoor space when busy or wet. But good outdoor space, and easy

Lovely historic building and cafe close to the A30 and Dartmoor.Limited menu but the breakfast was delicious.Plenty of parking and a nice setting only spoiled by a large incongruous toilet block next to the entrance.Coffee was nice and the cafe is interesting if a bit bland inside.Server was efficient but certainly not smiley and the price was okay. The slightly tatty laminated menus gave a low budget feel as did the huge 'coke' drinks fridge behind the counter.Reasonable value for money.

Only stopped at the cafe, on route home from weekend away. Fantastic, locally sourced breakfast. Very tasty and the coffee was good too. Well worth a stop.

Popped in on a very long journey to Cornwall for a welcome lunch. Staff were friendly and welcoming and it?s clearly popular with locals as well as a place to stop just off the A 30. Had a delicious bacon, Brie and cranberry brioche roll. Perfect. Prices are good and it?s clean and homely. We did not stay. Highly
