Very poor. My partner ordered spectacles from the East Kilbride branch who said they would be sent to the Torquay store within about 2 weeks for collection. She was told that she would receive a call when they are available to collect.
Not hearing anything after three weeks, she rang the Torquay number and was redirected to a central call centre. She was told that the spectacles were in the Torquay store and that the call centre would send an email to the branch to ask for a call back. Not hearing anything after another week, she again rang the Torquay branch and again was automatically redirected to the call centre. Ditto the last call, the call centre again said they would chase up the Torquay branch on her behalf. Nothing. For the third time, a call to the Torquay number was made and again the contact centre answered. My partner said she would visit the Torquay branch in person and was told that the branch was not open until the next Wednesday (it was now Monday) despite the website saying the store was open. On the Wednesday (4 & a half weeks after the order) she went to the Torquay branch only to find no one there! She popped into the business next door who told her that they constantly have people coming in asking similar things.
Not particularly chuffed at a wasted journey, she again rang the number and the call centre said the optom (optician?) was sick and she would get a call from someone. Friday came, no call. She rang the call centre and the words "only open once in a blue moon" were used by the call centre. My partner said we've had two in the last month or so, so that's two days they could have rung her! She then tried the East Kilbride branch (who were good) and they were shocked at Torquay's poor performance and would get the regional manager to look into. Apparently Torquay is staffed by the Exeter branch. It's now 3.30 pm on Monday (5 weeks later!) and still. no call from the regional manager or Torquay.
They've only got to ring her to say the glasses are ready for collection and that some one would actually be there at the time of the visit!
As the advertising campaign says, "Should've gone to Specsavers"!
