The most friendly pub we go too ! Very welcoming and full of laughs and banter . Great choice of drinks and always met with a smile , you'll leave with a aching face from laughing so much

Did lack a bit of atmosphere, cozy nice pint but the food was a bit dull and tasteless... sandwiches - bread was dry and over "fridged"

Great place.Wonderful hospitality & very friendly landlady Sonia (& dog Teddy). The decor is showing all the hard work has come to fruition & paid off. Well done Sonia! This little hidden gem is so worthy of a visit.

What a lovely place to visit for a cold pint on a warm day! Friendly and welcoming landlady, spotlessly clean and a lovely setting with all the wood beams. We will be visiting next time we are in the area

Wish you could give it a minus star review. The owners are so rude, insulting, loud, drunk, "been there, done it, got the t-shirt" type people. The landlord is very insulting to customers, in fact calling a group of young ladies a bunch of dogs as they walked in the door (he hadn't met them before either) was enough for me. How they get these nice reviews I don't know, but can only say the food must be amazing but you would have to wear ear plugs to not hear the swearing etc coming from the vile man's mouth, so can't see that it would be an enjoyable experience. I shall not be going in there again whilst these horrible people are there. Shame as it used to be such a lovely friendly pub.

Came with a few of my family and I was absolutely stunned and disgusted with the language coming out of the mouth of the (obviously alcoholic) so called landlord. The amount of swear words and insults he was making to customers was atrocious. I will never set foot in that place again whilst they are there - although I can't imagine they will have many customers the way he is carrying on. She isn't much better either.

We visited this pub a number of times during our stay in High Bickington and Tracey and Colin couldn?t have made us more welcome, and Harry the waiter was great too. Having recently taken over the owners have renovated the pub and it was tastefully done and the atmosphere very cosy. The beer was well kept and we also ate here too, and the food was excellent, and locally sourced. Thanks for making us feel so welcome.

We found this gorgeous thatched pub whilst recently staying in Devon. The new owners had recently refurbished. The inside feels cosy and homely. The food was great. We ate here on three separate occasions and enjoyed our meals everytime. The owners Tracey and Collin were very welcoming and engaging with all customers. If you are in the area I highly recommend a visit. Jenny & Craig
