We arrived on Saturday 10th August, for our camping break booked back in April. It was clear that some changes had been made since our holiday the year before. There was no-one manning reception, in fact it was closed with just the notice of a number to ring on arrival. There were 3 static homes near the entrance of the park and evidence of ground clearing, which meant that where we could pitch, was restricted. Only one of the 3 shower blocks available last year, was now available to all campers. The clubhouse was now closed, so no food or drink was available on site, meaning that you have a treacherous walk along the un-paved, beach road into Woolacombe if you want to eat & drink. The WiFi was also no longer available. Then on Monday, to add insult to injury, builders & workmen arrived to continue the improvement works. We were NOT informed of ANY of this prior to our arrival, despite Europa having our email address. I am particularly disgusted that Tranquility Parks could not advise us of their take over, leading to the limited facilities on site when we arrived. We could have made alternative arrangements; my guess is they did not want to have to issue a refund! Europa have only 6-8 weeks & then they are no more apparently so be careful if you have a booking here over the rest of the Summer! ?
