Unfriendly and unhelpful team. As frustrating to deal with as the online team.Edit: Just been in and seen Irina having been forced to go into branch twice in the same week to prove I?m not a fraudster. She was great, really helpful, empathetic and a credit to a very poor business. Unfortunately stays at one star due to relentless incompetence and proven dishonesty from Barclays. Now had 3 separate instances of dishonest behaviour ironically from their fraud team demonstrated to be true. Avoid this bank like the plague.

No stars. Rude unhelpful. Removed facilities like print statements but never told anyone. Traveling and hour and a half there and back for no reason when I have mobility issues. Telling me online this and online that and to go to the library. I'm changing banks after today's experience. They said they can do in certain circumstances then wanted to ask why I want them and who they are for. Unbelievable, none of your business. Anyway after saying I wasn't aware you think you would say we can do it this time but just be aware in future but no, to hard. If it's online this and that surly makes sense to just close down, basically useless unless you're paying in money, waste of space. Never had bank be so unhelpful. Complaints incoming, and accounta will all be closed after over ten years of banking with Barclays. Disgusting attitude

Just when are Barclays going to realise that they cannot go on fobbing off and totally disrespecting their poor ignored customers.Things have got so bad....that they warn you of interminable waiting times.....before you even get there.And when something goes wrong.....you can't speak to a human being....unless you spend half a day travelling to one of the very very few branches still open.....and when you get there ....you are met with total indifference and a 'couldn't care less attiitude'.I wrote a cheque for a large sum of money (Yes, it was my money NOT Barclays), yet they saw fit to question my judgement and 'bounced' the cheque....even though there were sufficient funds in the account to fund the payment 10 times over.Really !!?And I sincerly hope the person responsible for allowing the development and introduction of the more than pathetically useless 'bot' that is meant to sort out simple problems, has been promoted so high in the organisation, that along with others of his ilke, he can do no more damage.I suppose Barclays excuse for the reduction in customer services and manpower, is that they are not making any money ?

Omg. What has happened here? Poor service & long queues. Understaffed long waiting time just to pay cash. There are plenty of ATMs but if you need something special.. get ready.

Totally rubbish bank, I'll be switching. Their contempt for their customers is only topped by their contempt for their customers' children. Most of the other banks have announced that they won't finance new oil fields in line with IEA and UN recommendations, but Barclays still does and is the biggest funder of ecocide amongst UK banks. The sharklays website gives more info, but basically if you love your kids then change to any other bank xx

Never had staffVery rarely come but always have to always wait for ages !!Lots of people showing people how to use an ATM. No one for actual help if your not using an ATMSort it out Barclays!! Only branch for 20 miles !!!

I've always found the staff in my local branch very helpful and polite. I especially like their meet and greet when you walk in, putting you in the right place for business.

Terrible customer service. The worse I have ever come across in a bank. Only one desk open so there was a huge queue going out the door. Inflexible attitude of staff who are slow and incompetent. There is a pressure to use the self-service machines which are not user friendly and frustrating to use which adds to the rubbish customer experience. Whoever is the Manager in this bank needs to be sacked.
