Considering the inflated prices you'd expect to be paying for customer service and it being an easy experience.This is just painful. More expensive and longer. Use Amazon.

Went to Smyths Weds 2nd Nov in the eve so my 12yr old son could choose a bike for his birthday. It was quiet in the store. He chose one and we paid the £10 to get it built. We were told it would get built the Thurs, we'd get a call when it was done on Thurs Eve, and we could collect it Friday. I can't fault the shop floor member that helped us or the one on the main desk who were both very friendly and helpful, however the after care not so much! We got no call Thursday, we got no call Friday so we started to call them...over and over again, from the morning till the evening, no one answered. Today (sat 5th Nov) my husband started the calls again but again no answer so he gave up by 11am and just went down there. He asked to see a manager. Whilst speaking to the manager, my husband called the store phone which was sat on the main desk and was ignored. My husband queried if anyone answers that, manager replies "no its been busy" ... we've been trying since Friday morning... "Sorry about that" As it turned out the bike was ready and as an apology we got the £10 to build it refunded! Now I know Smyths have their busy periods but they also have their quieter periods especially in the evenings. We were no less of a customer than the ones currently in the store, only difference is we'd spent almost £200 on a bike we left with Symths and had an eager 12yr old at home waiting for the phone call his bike was ready which never happened!For ref this was the Bournemouth Smyths Store on Mallard Road.

Smyths has gone down in my estimation, I collect funko pop figures and I like to try and get the rare chase one's, and I have now found out that I won't be able to find them there as the staff take them before they get on sale robbing the customers of being able to get them.

Just want to give Liam at mallard road store a good review. Liam was very helpful kind to my son who struggling to sign in on his Nintendo switch and Liam was helping and he was very patient. Simply he was a real gentleman. Thank you Liam and keep up the good work ???
