“Exceptional staff & great food I visited with my elderly parents for a week. Every member of staff were so kind, friendly, caring & thoughtful. Nothing seemed to be a problem for them, despite clearly being busy. The food was great, so we ate at the hotel most days. And if we had a request for something slightly different they were very accommodating. It was a very relaxing stay & it felt special. It was by our second stay here & we hope to come again. The downstairs room - number 6 - was perfect for my dad’s mobility needs.”

“We have had the pleasure of staying at the delightful Fernhill Hotel near Charmouth several times and we would rate it as outstanding in every respect. There is always a warm welcome on arrival. The extensive menu choices are delicious with high quality ingredients and plenty of options for those with special dietary requirements. The rooms, some of which enjoy wonderful countryside views are superbly appointed, very relaxing and extremely comfortable. We are always looking forward to our next visit from the moment we leave.”

“Lovely hotel in amazing setting. The food was excellent and the ambiance and service friendly and helpful. Lovely sea view from our room. The room would have benefitted from an extra chair and is getting a bit tired but very clean, comfortable and quite. The bed was very comfortable. I would highly recommend a visit.”

“New rooms are spacious, comfortable and quiet.Breakfast was poorOnly hot food was bacon and eggs and poached eggs were cold, served on a cold plate.Set out of serving stations were very far apart. Meats, cheese and salmon not covered.No-one came to check if everything was ok.Shame the food let's down the great rooms.”

“Best pub in West bay, plenty of lovely seating, plenty of parking, two lovely beer gardens. They stock the must have local Palmers ales fantastic. The food is great, lots of seafood. Always clean and staff always fantastic. Child and dog friendly. If I could visit one last pub before I died it would be the West bay hotel, marvelous”
