“We have had the pleasure of staying at the delightful Fernhill Hotel near Charmouth several times and we would rate it as outstanding in every respect. There is always a warm welcome on arrival. The extensive menu choices are delicious with high quality ingredients and plenty of options for those with special dietary requirements. The rooms, some of which enjoy wonderful countryside views are superbly appointed, very relaxing and extremely comfortable. We are always looking forward to our next visit from the moment we leave.”

“Lovely hotel in amazing setting. The food was excellent and the ambiance and service friendly and helpful. Lovely sea view from our room. The room would have benefitted from an extra chair and is getting a bit tired but very clean, comfortable and quite. The bed was very comfortable. I would highly recommend a visit.”

“New Years Eve getaway 2022/23 with the family (x10). A lovely very large house with masses of room, an excellent place for entertaining and celebrating the New Year in with all the family. Very well equipped property and ample parking. The only reason I gave this property 4 stars and not 5 is that the guttering on the rear of the property was blocked and overflowing on to the plastic conservatory roof and made it unbearable to sit under, which meant we could not use the dining room at all because of the noise, even when it wasn't raining that much it still continued to leak onto the roof. Our older parents found it very noisy at night as this leak was right next to there bedroom window and was almost like someone continuously throwing stones at the glass all night so got very little sleep. Was very disappointed to find out that this issue was raised back in November by the owners and still nothing had been rectified, and even said in the book 'hope this does not effect your stay???'. This needs to now be made a priority and fixed before we stay again.”

“Very good camp site and holiday home shower and all the facilities was absolutely perfect One of the best I’ve stayed on.I went in my Camper, I pitched up and just enjoyed the beach . 4 minutes walk awayFound a couple of very good fossils on the beach one of the places to visit again”

“We were a group booking of 17 friends, getting together to celebrate a special birthday. All the staff, especially the chef Nathan, made it an evening to remember both in organising it beforehand and on the day. The food was amazing, comments were 'best steak ever', 'can I eat it again please', and as a vegetarian who is often disappointed, it could not have been a more delicious meal. The staff were friendly and attentive - I can't rate the whole experience highly enough.”

“New rooms are spacious, comfortable and quiet.Breakfast was poorOnly hot food was bacon and eggs and poached eggs were cold, served on a cold plate.Set out of serving stations were very far apart. Meats, cheese and salmon not covered.No-one came to check if everything was ok.Shame the food let's down the great rooms.”

“Came for our first motorhome trip to this site. A lovely, clean site, very helpful staff in the shop. Even though had to book a gravel pitch and hard pitch they conveniently changed it to a hard pitch for all the nights when we arrived.Showers great, well kept and clean.Very convenient for the Coast Path.”
