Probably one of the best Waitrose stores I've been in, a very good selection of produce and very friendly staff.

Probably the smartest supermarket in north Dorset. It's popular for it's quality and it's cafe. Standard Waitrose price structures to pay for that smartness and quality. Amazing alcohol selection. I went in for a good bottle of wine for a dinner party and frankly spent half an hour trying to chos. Chose Rhubard Gin in the end.

An excellent shop if you don?t want to buy anything. More empty shelves than aTottenham Trophy Cabinet. The shop blurb claims that ?it?s the people that make the difference.? Well it certainly isn?t the soft fruit that does it because by 3 inthe afternoon there wasn?t any. Few customers, perhaps not surprisingly since most shoppers go in the hope of finding things to buy. A strange air of not yet being properly open or being the process of gently closing down. Or maybe both.

Seems to have a little bit more of a selection than most Waitrose supermarkets! Cool selections of local goods scattered about and mostly overall, not bad prices. I've always been warned away from Waitrose but honestly it's not as bad as you'd imagine at all.The food is really good, stays fresh for way longer than most supermarkets and seeks to be higher quality. Really reccomend.

Too expensive, even the essential range. Staff fill aisles with trollies that you can't get past. Plus horror! The till girl turned my trifle upside down over and over to find the barcode (on the side). The trifle was destroyed when we got home, completely ruined. It's no longer worth paying the extra in Waitrose.Update following response: I was buying essentials, as per my review - I didn't notice anything being lowered to an acceptable price. I've been a loyal Waitrose customer for years, but now I only buy organic vegetables and the odd item when on offer - I combine a shop with other cheaper supermarkets. The reason I used to shop with Waitrose was that the service and quality was superior - this made the extra cost worth it - now you have nothing unique and have lost that USP over other supermarkets - so why would I stay loyal?

Produce is good guality, but prices for the similar items are higher comparing to other supermarkets.

First visit for a year. Cafe has tables covered in used trays, no plates out for pastries, no knives.Toilets are dirty and need attention.Shelves are half empty despite as many staff as customers in the shop.Waitrose seem to be losing their direction.

I didn't buy anything in the main supermarket but stopped in the cafe today with some colleagues to grab a quick lunch ahead of a business meeting at a local company and have to say, the staff in the cafe were wonderful, very friendly and welcoming and clearly knew all of their regular customers, what their usual orders were etc and generally went the extra mile to provide excellent customer service to all, which was a pleasure to see.
