Rockley used to really set the standard for caravan holidays but lately, it has become more washed out. Everything is too highly priced and it's unnecessary to pay for the club house passes if only there for minimal days. We all know arcades have their tactics but this one really takes the mick. After cashing in around 1000 tickets, a child can receive toys which fall apart upon taking out of the box. Ripping off adults is one thing but ripping off children is heartbreaking when the items they worked so hard for are knock off pieces of trash. Tried to contact Haven upon getting home about these things via various methods and no one is on the other end of any contact means. Not even email or social media. A company who cares is usually responsive. Greed prevails once again and is consuming what was once a lovely park. Everything is a basic version of what it once was. Even the iconic Rockley Park entrance sign was replaced for some generic piece of plastic.

Carravan very filthy, reported to the Receptionist Stacey around 4:30pm as we arrived in the Carravan around 3:10pm as the kids wants to eat first we go out and come back around 4:15pm and seen all the dirt, dust and the linen is looks did not change and the pillow itself is so terrible. Took some photos and tried to phone and email the customer service but no response so I walked to the front desk and there is about 5 people complaining the same thing, cleanliness and there experience.. Every year we are in different Havens and we only paid around £300 plus for a week holiday, I try to adopt and accept that everything increased so this holiday is less than £900 for a family of 4 in I required accessible Carravan. 2 beds are filthy, duvets are dirty, beddings are dirty too, pillows got dirty marks on it, dust and dirty carpet. when you enter the Carravan it smells cigarette and one of my child got asthma. All of this is been reported to Stacey but seems like she is new. she said she email the cleaning department and talk to her higher people and they just apologised and she told me that they are coming to clean and deliver the duvet, pillow to me after 2 hours, we are in Holiday and should be resting time but still waiting..

Awful..... Grubby caravan. Curtains hanging off tracks, Mold on curtains. Toilet runny water all night. Sink drain broken Bathroom light not working. Rubbish under bed. Pre booked and paid for an iron, after asking reception 3 times finally got it a day late. The caravan was dated and tired and not cleaned to a good standard. Around park overall clean. Long wait for food and drinks in mash n barrel and pricey. We stayed with all our family, which included to young children. All activities were booked/sold out all they could do was outside swimming. We won't return. Very disappointing when you save all year and end up in a grubby caravan.

We?ve very recently returned from our family holiday at your Rockley Park site. Unfortunately, we have to raise some issues as one too many problems had arised throughout our stay. The check-in was nice and quick, we appreciated that. However, we do have a few personal gripes at the accommodation quality and the entertainment passes we?d paid for. Before we arrived, we discovered that there is a booking-on system for various events ? which is to be expected, but for activities like swimming, is an unfair expectation set by Haven for holiday makers. We had to hope there were last minute cancellations ? which there were thankfully. But for a time, we had assumed we weren?t going to be doing any swimming. You can imagine how our 4-year-old would respond to that. The main event of any holiday for kids as well as adults, is usually swimming. Some feedback from us ? please reconsider allowing the many thousands of holidaymakers to pre-book onto the swimming. Especially with 4 weeks before anyone can set foot on site. You have to appreciate that some people may not have access to email or a smartphone to book on to such events. And for us, the email detailing this was eventually discovered in our ?junk? mail. If it wasn?t for the fact we got lucky with a couple of cancellations, we?d be requesting a full refund on the entertainment pass. We would suggest you make it clear that it is a ?first come, first serve? basis for all. And as we discovered, people clearly ?panic booked? their spaces throughout the week, as we were allowed in. And swimming really wasn?t that busy, so it just goes to show that your system does not work. On to more pressing concerns around health and safety. Our accommodation. When we arrived, we were greeted to the previous occupant?s garbage, scattered all over the balcony. Not even in black bags, but simply emptied onto the floor. As if someone had picked a bin up, and chucked it all over the place. Or, it might have been seagulls pecking at bin bags?. However, because we had arrived a little early, we did see two young males inside our chalet caravan, cleaning. Which was when we saw all of the mucky litter on the balcony flooring. We drove off to kill some time, only for that litter to STILL be there when we returned. Which tells us the cleaners simply ignored it? Can you believe that your employees would acknowledge this and move on to the next caravan to clean? Photo evidence at your request. We reported this 3 times in the space of 3 hours. We had reported this to reception who said they would rectify. An hour later, I visited reception and spoke to a receptionist, with barely eye contact made and almost zero empathy from her, and all but grunted to me that ?someone is on their way?. This apparently had meant someone was en route to collect the litter. A couple of hours later and the litter remains. As you can imagine, with two young children, it was disgusting to have bits of food, soiled nappies, dog poo and even razors over our balcony. A horrid sight. I once again visited reception and spoke to a much more empathetic younger lady. She called this through to your facilities team and assured me someone would go and collect it. Well, nobody did collect it that day (our first day). We summoned the mental strength to sweep up the mess and bag it ourselves & mop the floor. The following morning, the bags were finally collected. Health & Safety issue no2 ? one of our party cut themselves on the side of the double bed. Specifically, the metal hinge that connects the two beds was sticking out. (Photo available) Health & Safety issue no3 ? one of our other party members cut their thumb when putting clothes away in one of the bedroom cupboards. (No photo available -sorry). It was in one of the back twin bedrooms (slightly larger of the two twin rooms). Health & Safety issue no4 ? On one of the twin beds (smaller room), a blood stain was found. Health & Safety issue no5 ? A kitchen saucepan was left in a filthy state. Lid greasy and inside pan, was something not quite identifiable. It was

Booked a private van-recommend to avoid Havens ridiculous pricing during school holidays. Decent van, stayed in better and probably wouldn?t book this van again just down to general cleanliness and lack of amenities within the van. Site It?s massive. We used it as a base mainly. There?s a man made Beach and pretty lake, nice to walk around and perfect t for families if you stay on site and have the weather. Very pet friendly site too. Vans are close to each other with little green space for kids to play near the vans. Some parts are quite hilly so not great if you?ve any mobility issues. The site just seems tatty, like there needs to be some significant money spent on it. Facilities We didn?t pay for passes and glad we didn?t as everything is fully booked. There seems to a be a bit that you can book and pay for but again, it?s not what we came for. We had a drink in the ?sports bar? which is tiny and one in the mash and barrel. This closed at 10pm and we were reminded of this by numerous staff members. Didn?t use any of the eating facilities as again, we find on site stuff is staffed by kids and generally overpriced and under par. Toilets were a disgrace-dirty with each and every sanitary bin overflowing. Kids running in and out making a mess too. You can use the outdoor pool regardless of whether you?ve booked passes-however, it?s small and very few chairs/beds for spectators. We didn?t use the shop on site, took a few things with us and easily booked an online shop which was delivered straight to the van ( remember loo rolls). The bus that stops on site is great and is the main transport we used whilst there-open too too to take in the fabulous views as you go past. We visited sandbanks, Poole, Bournemouth and Swanage whilst there using this method and as a driver whom rarely gets to see the sites I can thoroughly say it was great (good value too). There is very little mobile signal available, we didn?t care but had some moody teenagers as a result!! The site also backs onto a MoD Royal Marines base (locals have us some fascinating tales) and a train line- we didn?t hear anything from Thai but maybe different depending where you?re located?? All in all we enjoyed our break. I wouldn?t personally return to this Haven, or perhaps any Haven in the future, feeing this probably only because as the kids are older we don?t need the facilities and it is just catered for the masses - will be choosing smaller, more independent sites like Piran meadows in Cornwall where we went last year!

This review is honest and a true reflection of our experience during a four night stay in a silv3 caravan. On arrival the caravan had not been cleaned to a standard that was acceptable, the fridge was dirty and needed a good clean Fake eyelashes found on side and in bathroom shower tray, sink full of food which had stuck hard on the sink and plug Hair in bathroom. Kitchen cupboards replaced but not painted looks.shabby Not good for first impression of a holiday. The cleaning team came after four hours but I had cleaned the caravan by then - they did bleach the sink and plug to remove the food! They were very apologetic too The beds were clean and made up Generally the park needs a good clean, it's looking tired, food areas not cleared away sticky tables, glasses and crockery left Long wait for food service in mash and barrel Entertainment slow with long breaks in-between Swimming pool area was really dirty, floor very wet and rubbish flowing out of bins/ left on surfaces Really disappointing I would not recommend this park , sorry haven but this park needs a good overhaul

First, the positives. Unfortunately, they are far outweighed by the negatives. Rockley Park is a seriously beautiful part of the UK, and the grounds staff do a fantastic job of keeping it looking great. Lawns, hedges, everything, absolutely top tier. The food available at the restaurants in the complex are a decent quality, and honestly, the prices cost pretty much the same as I?d expect to pay back home in South Wales. The beer is expensive, not far off of £6 a pint, but I?m told by a friend who lives nearby that this is standard for the area. My son, who is 9, thoroughly enjoyed the activities that he attended, NERF training camp especially. The entertainments staff are great with the kids, good job. Inside the complex, the restaurants, the supermarket, the arcade, the bars, they are spotless. Staff there are friendly and accomodating, it?s a good atmosphere. And now for the negative. I hope that I can be forgiven for writing in a narrative style, as it?s the only way to do this absolutely farcical experience with the customer service aspect of Rockley Park any justice. We arrived at 1700 on the Monday. Checked in online, found our way to our Pod as was booked. As advised, there was a blue sticker on the door to indicate that it had been recently cleaned. However, some 3 feet below the sticker, absolutely parallel, was a very large stain on the decking which in all honesty looked like vomit. How it was missed by anyone entering the Pod beggars belief, I had to step over it to get in. Then, inside the Pod, it was clear that it hadn?t been vacuumed, there was debris on the floor, especially at the top of the ladder leading to the Mezzanine. Thirdly, and at the time, most annoyingly, the bed upstairs had not been made up as stated in every piece of literature issued by Haven. Every brochure, every webpage, ?the beds will be made up in time for your arrival?. They were not. As instructed in the Haven manual, I phoned reception, stayed on hold for 20 minutes, no answer. This was to become a common occurrence. I therefore strolled over to reception (having been advised that they are open until 1900 on a Monday) to find the 3 staff on the reception desk laughing hysterically at?.something. And I mean hysterically. The person I spoke to was more busy interacting with her colleagues than she was listening to me. That annoyed me, but I didn?t say anything. I made clear that my main concern was that the beds be made up, as I am disabled and unable to do so myself. The sick stain can wait until tomorrow I said, please can we just get the beds sorted? Through tears of laughter and running mascara (I?m not joking) she half listened and made a note on the computer. My son and I went to the excellent supermarket to stock up on fresh items, and returned to the pod. The beds had still not been made, the stain was there etc. This is when we discovered that the two TVs in the Pod barely worked, the signal is atrocious and at various points in the day, it is unwatchable. We had a table booked in the restaurant for 1845, so we walked over, and I decided to trouble the reception area with my problems once again, as I was aware that the housekeeping team were likely finishing for the day soon. I was absolutely reassured by the same laughing girl as before that it was in hand, it?ll be done by the time we return to the Pod following our meal. We ate, we wandered around the arcade, returned back at the pod at around 2130. I apologise for my predictability in this story, but the beds were STILL not made, and the vomit stain mocked me from its resting place on the decking yet still. In my state of annoyance, the only person I could contact at this time of day was the emergency number, so I did. This put me through to a friendly yet beleaguered security man, and I?m afraid he bore the brunt of my frustrations. His initial advice was to ?take it up with reception in the morning?. Now, I?d spent £700 on this week, and driven 4 hours to get here, I just wanted to sleep. The prospect of sitting awake all night waiting for reception to show up wasn?t r

We were very underwhelmed on our first day, and the feeling lingered all week. All activities are bite-sized and overpriced. For example, it cost £12 for junior bungee trampolining, which is limited to 10 minutes (including harnessing) and has one staff member bounce your child for about 8 minutes. The kids park areas are tiny, and you can?t watch your family swim unless they?re in the outdoor pool. In the ?sports bar? on Monday early afternoon, nobody was manning the bar for the 5 minutes we waited at it. The prices were extortionate, just like at the restaurant ?The Mash & Barrel?. Where we waited 10 minutes past our reservation time to be seated and paid just shy of £12 for 2 Guinness. Half a pint of beer costs more than half the price of a pint. Children?s ?chicken nuggets? are pathetic, no bigger than those little bon-bon sweets and there are only three of them. The meal was so small the plate was almost bare when it arrived! The waitress was running around, speaking really fast, clearly under a lot of pressure due to how little staff were on. The evening entertainment was a ?tots disco? which was a DJ playing kids nursery rhymes really loud. We spent as much of our time out of the park as possible, the nearest fun thing ?Hamworthy Park? being a ten-minute drive from the Haven holiday park. We had already pre-booked junior segways so we peeled our child off the awesome play equipment at Hamworthy Park, to be told 1 minute before the start time that it was cancelled because one of the segways was broken. On our last day we decided it was a good idea to have a coffee before the long drive home. We ordered at the Costa bar in the ?Mash & Barrel?, gave our table number so it would be brought to us. After ten minutes we told a waitress passing by that we were still waiting, and she said we will need to go up and ask the bar staff. So one of us did, and we were told 5 minutes. We then had to go up again, and after 20 minutes we finally got our order of two coffees. The restaurant wasn?t even half full.

Not sure what has happened with this store. The staff used to be very friendly and helpful. Now let down by rude unhelpful staff. I regularly drop off parcels and its always too much trouble. Rude cashier even snatched my pregnant wifes mobile out of her hand when she was trying to get a barcode up. Wont be going back again.

I do not reccomend using this store for parcel drop off. Just attempted to leave a 7kg package at this shop via hermes. The shopkeeper picked up the parcel & stated by guess work that my parcel did not weigh 7kg & it would be more like 10kg.I explained that it had been accurately weighed & assured her it was actually just under 7kg.She then called over a male shopworker (no facemask & got right up close to me,I had to step back away from him) to also pick up the parcel. He too said the parcel Was too heavy & refused to accept it.I asked what I should do & they said take it up with hermes?I asked what the maximum parcel weight their shop accepts & they said 15kg!?My parcel was certainly under 15kg which they too agreed. So it didn't matter to this shop what the weight was of my parcel,it was never going to be accepted. Not only an odd way of doing business,a rude & unpleasant experience.i would not use this store if needing a drop off point as they go out of their way to be unhelpful.

Friendly helpful staff. As a convenience store, some prices are higher than the prices in Supermarkets. Although some prices lower than you might expect. A good range of stock. Also bargain discount prices.
