The Works stock all kinds of books for adults and children. Crafting materials, puzzles, and toys. They are discounted so everything is a bargain without being rubbish. I often look here for gifts and educational fun

It's a tired formula that doesn't seem to have moved on with the times.
I've bought the occasional road atlas or cook book in here, but most of the book stock seems to be remaindered stuff.
Reasonable range of art and craft supplies, to be fair. Stationery items are usually low quality and poor value.
There often seems to be an 'everything must go' sale ... but you can bet your life that the same stock will be back on the shelves in 3 months time.
I just feel it needs a kick up the backside to move it into the 21st century.

Very good value store. Got some ink pads and stationary here. Found the shop assistant helpful and the prices excellent. Recommended.
