It was okay. What you would expect from a Travelodge. Lifts are very small and one didn't work on two occasions in our 3-day stay. Local Asda is useful just across the car park.

I stayed there end of January , One night , Nobody told me about leaving my car registration number at reception , And ended up with 2 parking fines By Smart Parking , Appealed to them with my booking details , But rejected my claim , Travelodge did not help in anyway , Will never use them again , Check out how many other customers have got Parking tickets .

Updated review for Mar-24:This is the better Poole Travelodge imho now it?s been upgraded (except possibly for a/c in warmer months). Loads of plugs, usb ports. Easier to get to, just off the main road. Massive Asda (sushi is recommended unlike the rubbish Tesco sell near the north Poole TL). Just check a/c for summer months - I think my room only had a heater. I think the north Poole TL has a/c as standard ?Dusting behind the tv was the only thing missed ?The guests who throw rubbish, including nappies, out their window onto the ledge for 1st floor guests to see need to have a word with themselves ???? ffs.Staff were friendly ?Rooms: Clean, everything needed was here. Comfortable bed. Slept well. No a/c.

A Nightmare Experience at [Travel Lodge] in PooleI recently had the misfortune of staying at the [Travel Lodge] in Poole, and it was an absolute disaster from start to finish. My partner had broken his leg, and the hospital recommended this establishment as a place to stay. Little did we know, this would turn into a nightmarish experience.Upon arriving at 4 am, exhausted and desperate for a place to rest after a long journey, the staff at the reception seemed completely indifferent to our situation. I explained that my partner was injured, and we needed a room urgently. Despite the hospital's recommendation, they showed no empathy and callously informed us that the check-in time was 3 pm that day.Faced with the harsh reality of being stranded outside in the middle of the night, with a partner in pain and nowhere to go, I attempted to reason with the staff. I even showed them the hospital recommendation, but it fell on deaf ears. They displayed a shocking lack of compassion and refused to budge. In a desperate attempt to find shelter for the night, I reached out to other nearby accommodations. The only option available at that hour was another hotel, which cost me an additional £88. It's outrageous that, despite having available rooms as advertised on their website, the [Travel Lodge] in Poole couldn't accommodate us in our time of need. The overall experience was not only emotionally draining but also financially burdensome. The complete lack of empathy and unwillingness to assist customers in distress is inexcusable. I would strongly advise anyone considering staying at this [Travel Lodge] to think twice and explore alternative options. This establishment has demonstrated a shocking disregard for customer well-being, and I would not wish this ordeal upon anyone else.

Brilliant hotel. The staff are really friendly and welcoming. The bar is very nice and serves a good range of food. The rooms are modern and clean, very good shower with good temperature control and great pressure.Brilliant location as just across the road is the Poole train station. There is a decent size car park for the hotel and ASDA is right next door. Poole town centre is under 10 minutes walking distance from the hotel.

Stayed here last night 15 / 02 / 24Worst experience of my life , there was a man so drunk banging on doors shouting and screaming. I went downstairs with my partner and witnessed a young couple complaining about this man before me . I witnessed him shouting and screaming at the young lady complaining. There were 2 young ladies on reception that didn't no what to do . The young lady complaining then had her arm grabbed in a aggressive way by the drunk man . The young lady called the police as reception staff didn't no what to do as there was no manager there. The police came spoke to the man , he promised when the police came to carm down and stay in his room . He waited a few minutes till the police went then came back down to reception more aggressive than ever . People were terrified of him and a couple even left the hotel at 2am in the morning. No manager no one to sort the problem out , absolutely disgusting and we won't stay there again.

1st visit last summer 2023 it was nice room nice restaurant . Convenient spot. Sadly the the computer mixed everything up.This time February 2024. Nice clean room but had to move to another room as shower gel dispenser was broken. key card constantly lost the codes. One door was broken near lift on 3rd floor couldn't open with card key. No sign on door to say this. I spent a few days constantly ( well felt like it) to get keys recorded. Otherwise the hotel was nice and comfortable, plenty of hot water. Clean linen. Great location near station, town, bus station and Poole quay. Prefer to stay in Poole to Bournemouth yet easy access to Bournemouth if we want to visit.

I?ve stayed here on many occasions before, and over a long period of time. I regularly stay in Travelodge?s all over the country. There has been an ongoing issue with the cards not working to get through the doors for a long time now, yet the management fail to deal with this issue. Aside from that, I?ve had relatively good experiences at this particular hotel before. All staff I?ve found to be friendly and helpful, except for one. I can only presume he?s a manager, (tall, dark hair, lots of attitude) although a pretty incompetent one. I?ve always found him unfriendly, unhelpful, unwelcoming, unprofessional and straight up very rude in the way that he speaks. He?s seen me stay there on many occasions but this time he decided to insist on I.D. for me to check in. As I?ve already said, I stay in these hotels very often, and I have NEVER been asked to produce I.D. before! He?s even checked me in himself before and not asked me for I.D. Long story short, my trip was ruined, travel costs to get there on top of the room fee, my plans, all wasted due to him. I?m attempting to chase up getting a refund but to be honest, I spent about 4 times the room fee on travel to get there alone! I am also lodging a formal complaint through customer services, the complaint line and any other way I can find to do so. I will also post more reviews elsewhere to warn others.

Usual Travelodge standard and facilities. Decent amount of parking as right beside big Asda store. Just make sure you register your vehicle reg to avoid a parking ticket. Subway and Costa on ground floor so options easily available for food and drink. The soap dispenser in the shower in our room (304) was empty (as usual!)
