I was visiting Sherborne for the day and I was unsure of what to do with my 3 year old son. I got onto google and Blackmarsh Farm popped up, so I drove there. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by the lovely Mimi who was so accommodating throughout our whole visit. I even explained how my phone was nearly flat and she rushed to get me a charger to make sure I could use it for the satnav home. She explained the facilities extremely well. The park outside was lovely, there was a trampoline, go karts, sandpits and lots of tiny house to explore. My son had an amazing time. When the weather took a turn we decided to go inside and while eating an incredible lunch, my son played with the train table and indoor toy box which meant that I could have a hot lunch!Overall, I cannot recommend Blackmarsh Farm enough! And especially Mimi! I just wish it was closer to home.

Went here to have a quick lunch the cafe was nice and the service was good the food didn't take long to come out and it was nice, so full marks all round. It was quiet there were a few kids outside in the park (I think that's pay to play). There is also cut flower shop (AS seen on BBC Gardeners world) so we'll worth a visit.

Lovely place. Took our twin 3yrolds and they loved the toys corner. The playground outside looks even better but we went while it was wet and cold.Kid-friendliness: Toy corner with lots to play with.

Superb place to take the kids whilst enjoying a coffee. Lovely people running it. Explaining in length the Maize maze that we also ventured in to. I also indulged in a white chocolate tiffin a Turmeric latte. Couldn?t get posher than that but delicious! Reasonably priced.

I did the maize maze with my children, and then spent a few hours playing on the equipment as this was included in the maze entry, they enjoyed both very much, the pedal go-carts were a big hit with my son!

We love doing the maise maze each year, and the kids enjoy playing in the maze and the orchard afterwards. The only downside is the cost.

We went to the maize maze today- lots of fun. Entertained my 3 children (8-11) for an hour, getting lost and finding clues. They then spent an hour go-karting, which they really enjoyed. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the cookies were excellent. I?m not sure I?d go again for the go-karting and playground (it?s a little young for them), but we will certainly do the maize maze again next year.

We had a great time here and even returned a few weeks later with friends. The play area is well maintained and we felt comfortable sitting with a coffee while our kids ran around and did their own thing. We had coffee and cakes. the cakes were fantastic, fresh and really nice, and finally, a small cafe that knows how to make a flat white properly, I was so happy. We're going to be getting the year ticket for the kids play area and we'll use it as much as we can. Amazing.

Let's be honest, it's a farm cafe with a play area for kids... Visited here whilst down visiting family over Easter. Came for the "Easter egg trail". We were expecting a trail through/around the farm, looking at animals etc... in fact it was actually eggs stapled round the play area, cost £6.50 and took my son about 15 mins to complete...Service was quite slow in the cafe with all of 1 person in front of me...Food and coffee was good but personally, pricey for what it is.Seems like it's good for locals, but I wouldn't travel for it...
