“I shop at Dikes because I’m a great believer in supporting local businesses and I don’t mind paying a little bit more than the bigger supermarkets for my items. However, £2.29p per kg for bananas is stretching my loyalty to this shop !! This is over twice the price of other supermarkets. Pricing error or what? Prices of other items, notably tea/milk/yogurts/bread, are also testing my loyalty. I’ll still shop there because, as the saying goes “use it or lose it”, but perhaps I’ll be more selective in the items I purchase.”
