Excellent and extremely rare example of an intact Saxon Church. Mostly they worked in wood. Here in stone. Wall paintings are in evidence. Great place. Walk the walls of the town as well.

A delightful Saxon church built on the site of an older church. It's presence is one of the reasons Wareham retained it's town wall when so many other towns lost theirs. The church contains an effigy of TE Lawrence, who died nearby, and a number of much oldesr frescoes.
