Great shop to buy and sell from staff always friendly

Brought my laptop in to sell, pointed out it had a little bit of damage I was told they couldn?t buy it and that didn?t bother me at all it was fair enough but what wasn?t fair is how the two employees decided to mock me after they said they couldn?t buy it. Only reason for three stars was because I go there often and it?s been alright and they do have a wide range of stock. Unfortunately I won?t be returning however after this.

I went to claim warranty on my HyperX Microphone today in-store and upon initial inspection my microphone was taken in by the worker and he claimed he would take a look at the microphone and try to resolve any issue with it after explaining the issue with audio quality that I had. I came back the next day with everything the microphone came with as advised by the worker in the case of a refund however he quickly handed me back solely the microphone and claimed he could not repair, review or refund the microphone as it had damage to the exterior (slightly dented). The microphone came dented and upon leaving the shop I was only given my microphone back and no wire to connect it to my computer again. I am unsure why my microphone was handed back without a wire as I handed it in with the wire for the worker?

I purchased a Google Pixel 8 phone from this shop on New Year's eve but then l discovered the phone has issues with connecting to WiFi. Searching online, it turned out the problem is a known issue that lots of people have had with even the brand new phones so it wasn't because the one had was second hand. Tried all the fixes people suggested online but nothing worked. Took the phone back to CEX the next day and the phone had 2 year warranty so they checked it and agreed that there was indeed a problem with connecting to WiFi. They refunded the full amount without any issues and were very good mannered about it. Really appreciated the way they handled everything, excellent customer service and I highly recommend them. Thank you CEX Weymouth!

Really poor customer service. Went in to purchase some dvds. After grabbing some I wanted to ask whether they had a specific dvd in. Waiting at the desk whilst someone in store was having a chat with another customer. After 5 mins it became obvious that this other customer wasn?t purchasing anything and had just come in for a chat. No service from staff at all or acknowledgement that we were waiting. We ended up just putting things back and leaving.

Have been trying to acquire a way for my partner to play a particular game, firstly bought a phone months ago being told that it would run the game.... it didnt.... I have recently returned and bought a laptop which I was lead to believe would run the game.... it did not.I have now wasted £250+ on false information given by your staff. If they dont know... say so I an beyond livid and would not recommend to anyone who might need information before a purchase. Only go if you know exactly what you need as I have been lead to waste my money twice

Maybe I?m not British enough, as I loathe waiting in queues unnecessarily. I?m also not one to create a scene in shops that may embarrass other customers or make them feel uncomfortable.So today, after waiting almost 10 minutes to buy two games totalling £70, whilst one member of staff perused a customers phone presumably with the intention of buying it from them, and the other member of staff farting about at the desk behind the counter before picking up a phone and calling someone, shutting for a few minutes and assisting with the perusal of the customers phone before returning to his farting around.All of this they managed to do without so much as a glance in my direction or acknowledging my presence.If I had a slightly more British mentality, maybe I?d have waited longer. How much longer would I have had to wait before they realised I was there though?Two stars simply because it?s a well stocked shop and there are probably plenty of far more attentive staff that work there.I?ll just order them online or visit another reseller. I won?t be going back there.

Bought a Samsung phone, had a glass cover fitted and bought a phone cover in the Weymouth branch, whilst visiting on 13/5/2023. The silicone cover started falling apart after two weeks. It's impossible to contact the branch, so did online complaint. Over a month later, no response. Disgusting quality and absolutely no customer service reply.

Overall good experience, use to buy and sell there just for trying things. You can sell them back for cash not ideal but for voucher to buy other stuff is worth.
