Reasonable store very well located.Good public transport links. Not far from large multistorey carpark too.Long walk through very strong perfumed area to get to the health care element of the store.I did not realise till today that there is two tier pricing if you have one of their store cards.I don't know if it is only on their own label products but I did get 10% off.Less scent more on form staff please but okay

Visited in the early morning to go to the Pharmacy, but the queue was already very long, and on Sundays it is closed. This was frustrating but I managed to buy the medication I needed without pharmacist approval (because it was GSL) but I will likely go to another pharmacy in the future. Shelves are stuffed and it is a little difficult to find what you want but a wonderfully large selection and a whole wall of perfume. The price is a little steep for the basics like ibuprofen, even if sold in a large value pack.

I have been visiting Boots for many many years but today felt extremely disappointed by my experience. All the usual older staff, (there is normally a good range of ages of staff) seem to be replaced by very young staff. I stood a very long time at the perfume counter and was not approached once. I watched 3 young members of staff chatting together the whole time, a male and 2 females on one stand. On another stand I watched a young member of staff in her mobile phone the whole time. Something I?ve never seen before!! In the end I approached a young member of staff who was actually working, and asked her for help. Displayed in the cabinet was Chanel mist but there had been non available since August, so please remove the item! I then looked for contact lense advanced solution and the shelf was empty. I don?t think I?ll be visiting Durham Boots in the near future.

A young chap served me in the pharmacy section during a very busy Friday afternoon. Was there for a yellow fever certificate replacement. Few previous employees had said it was not possible but this lad really took time out of his day to help me and got me a replacement cert. Saved me £55. It?s nice to see there are still people out there who take pride in their work. Great work, will continue to use boots services. Didn?t catch his name but he?s off to Peru next year. Give this man a wage rise.

Called in for drop-in vaccinations today. Excellent service from very friendly and efficient team, both reception and vaccinator.

Went to Boots Market Place, Durham today for a vaccination, great service, checked in swiftly by a lovely lady, seen and vaccinated by a very efficient gentleman (Adam I think). My sister was also with me, she is quite disabled and slow to walk, tje staff could not have been more helpful or supportive to her.The whole process was pleasant and efficient, thank you to all concerned.

Went in for some no.7 saw a deal 3 for 2 as I was told by an old blonde woman that worked there and so I grabbed the 3 for 2. Then she scanned the stuff and it came to like 81£?? So I was like well thats not right and went back and she said oh this product isn?t included in the 3 for 2 so I just asked for a refund on 2 of the products and she gave such an attitude omg she chucked the items on the desk and no thank you or please or goodbye whereas I was being polite and just ended up feeling like a burden when she was the one that gave incorrect info??

Came in today to buy one item. I was served by an older lady with short hair. I made sure to have my Boots app opened and ready for her to scan.Everything went well, until she asked for my student I.D. I assumed I could scan my Boots card for the points alone, not necessarily to expect a discount. I know they're probably trained to ask, but I had a lot of shopping in my bag and could not find my student card. I wanted to save her the bother of waiting as there were people behind and nobody on the main tills.I am also autistic and didn't feel like causing myself the additional anxiety of rummaging around in my bag. I ended up telling the woman that she could just leave it, meaning I didn't need the discount, and her demeanour changed. She said "well it's come up now" (assuming she meant on the till screen). Not sure why she couldn't just get rid of it or restart the process. It shouldn't take that long, and if it does, it's not my fault if your system is flawed). She then said "I'll put it through now but as a worker I'm expected to ask to see your student I.D."She sounded annoyed, as though I was lying when checking through my bag for an I.D. that does in fact exist, and just trying to snag a discount. I really couldn't have cared less about it.Someone with autism wants to get from point A to B with as minimal interaction as possible. My day was going reasonably well until this. I remained polite.
