No cycle parking. The outside is a mess and in dire need of a good revamp. I contacted the Co-op about it and their response was they don't have the money ?

Popped in a few times whilst staying in Durham recently. Was very impressed with the size of the store, the huge range of goods available, ample parking and the super friendly staff. I'm used to our local stores being small, cramped and only carrying a small amount of stock (plus very limited parking) so it was actually a joy shopping at Newton Hall which I never thought I'd be saying about grocery shopping!

Missing a chicken and bacon sandwich when delivered via deliveroo today. The coop did not admit such a fault and refused to refund. Worst experience even.

Great local shop. If you ask the manager, they will sometimes get a regular supply of the items that you buy regularly, which keeps shopping local. But it's big enough to have a wide range of products, and the fresh fruit and vegetables are excellent. It's a supermarket, much bigger than a local version of the massive supermarkets, but local. To be fair, co-op movement is bigger than the main supermarkets anyway, in terms of staff employed. But the co-op is a co-operative of regional organisations, and each branch is itself democratic

Good variety, wide aisles for distancing, and staff are helpful. Other facilities on site such as a cashpoint, amazon locker, and hermes collection and drop-off.

Self service tills are almost mandatory as staff will bark at their customers to use them to save themselves the work. Then the machines don?t take cash so caused me to go overdrawn. They are also too small so if you?ve more than a couple of items they will fall on the floor. You also can?t redeem coop points on self service tills. Altogether a thoroughly unpleasant visit. Sainsbury?s is up the road and is much cheaper

Taking ID from grown Man with beard (Redbull) would be fine, but still transaction was not completed, because my lady had no wallet so she could not proof being an adult. Absolutely joke, so next time if i come here with my kid, i wont be able to buy beer? Joke it must be.

great shop with lovely friendly ataff. unfortunately the introduction of the self service tills mean i dont call in any where near as i used to. the new tills are dreadful. i just go elsewhere where you are served!

Customers (frequently) and staff (rarely) disregard social distancing.Inadequate understanding of human behaviour demonstrated when plans were developed for the recently installed self-service tills.
