I called in without an appointment as my daughters car had a noisy exhaust, the gentleman in reception said they would have a quick look at it. It turned out the exhaust had snapped so they were able to get a new section and get it repaired while I waited. Brilliant service and didn't have to wait too long.

Nobody on reception to greet ya, when someone did eventually come through from the workshop he was polite and confirmed my pre booked appointment, sat for 45 minutes in the waiting room (no tea, coffee, drinks machine) only to be told problem could not be sorted by them (air con issue) and advised to take it to main dealer, saw two other people leave without their issues sorted but with recommendations as to where to go.Whilst waiting, went to use toilets which were filthy and no loo roll (good job i didn't need a no.2)Disappointed...

The staff in your Durham Branch and other Branches that we visit are always very friendly and helpful. You feel that you are not "getting ripped off" ie if there is nothing wrong with your car they will tell you and not carry out unnecessary work

Unfortunately I got a flat tyre when driving from Newcastle to Manchester on Friday gone. I made it to Durham before I got the warning, about 4:30pm. I googled the closest tyre place, and Kwik Fit came up, in Durham. I drove to your store and was greeted by one of your colleagues. I explained the situation and that it?s unfortunate as I?m selling the car very soon and could have done without buying a new tyre to not benefit from. I was also under the pressure of needing to continue my journey as soon as possible. Your colleague checked my tyre size and advised the only tyre he has is £200, which was extremely disappointing. I had a think about it and felt there may be no other option to get me back on the road, so begrudgingly decided to go ahead with it. Upon removal of the old and now completely damaged tyre, he noticed my tyres were winter tyres. He advised me the only tyre he has is a summer and he cannot allow me to leave with one summer tyre and one winter tyre on the same axle. I queried my options, to which he replied that I will have to change the other one too. I told him I do not want to spend £200 today let alone £400. He then explained you offer payment plans. I told him I?m not interested. He then advised that he cannot allow me to leave with one winter one summer on the same axle. I queried what my options would be if I didn?t have the money, or couldn?t get credit. He explained to me that he cannot allow me to leave. I find it hard to believe that it is legal for your colleague to retain my car and me unless I pay an extortionate price of £400 as a result of a flat tyre. Closing time at Kwik Fit was approaching, which added to the pressure to make a decision. I made a decision that I felt I had no choice to make, I was backed in to a corner and told I have no options. I felt like my car was going to be retained and I?d be left in Durham having to get a taxi or a family member to collect me. I have a set of spare wheels with tyres on in Newcastle, and could have had them brought down if your colleague could have taken the car back outside and left it in the car park. I could have changed the wheels in the car park and continued my journey. I could have then sought a better price for some mid range tyres, and not end up with high performing Michelin Pilot Sport 5?s on my old work horse of a car. The whole experience at Kwik Fit was disappointing and left me feeling violated. I would like compensation for the situation as I should not have been forced to buy two tyres at a total cost of £400. I will await a response to this feedback survey, and then log a formal complaint and exhaust your complaint process. If I am still dissatisfied, I will be taking this further via the Ombudsman.

Had two back tyres installed on my car, took an hour and a half to do this, and managed to scratch half of one of my wheels. They did take responsibility and informed me that I would receive a call the next day regarding options, heard nothing, tried to ring the next day, as others have mentioned it?s almost impossible to get through to them on the phone. I managed after several attempts and was told I?d hear back the next day. Didn?t. So I ended up making a trip in person to be told that they were waiting to hear back from the alloy wheel refurb place, and I?d hear within the next day or so, two days pass and I?d heard nothing. So rang the customer support line and they referred the issue to the area manger who has since resolved the issue for me.

Great managed to fit me in at such short notice. Would have liked to see what the problem was rather than just an explanation and asked for payment. Was driving past trying to find an open tyre service when saw Kwik fit

Good customer service and enough parking. Tyre prices are cheaper and good ready stock than local garage (National Tyres). Changed my car's tyres while I wait. Next door is Mcdonald when you can enjoy meal while you wait.

I had an unexpected problem of a broken exhaust pipe while out and am so thankful I was able to drop in here. The staff were amazing and had my car fixed up within 10 minutes! Excellent service, Thank you!

I called tonight as my car started to make the most awful noise when driving home from work. It was almost closing time but Ross and his team couldn?t be more accommodating. They sorted the problem immediately (stone lodged in the brake) and wouldn?t take payment. I?m blown away by their kindness?.thank you so much!!!

Although they changed my tyre fine. They tried to sell me another tyre instead of repairing a puncture. They wanted to charge me 234 for 2 tyres which are 98 on the website each. I took it for a second opinion where it was repaired.They tried to get extra money out of me and have now lost a customer.

Service is absolutely disgusting in this branch. Customer service shocking.. avoid go abit further and pop into Chester le Street their service is much better and much more helpful

Tried to call a few weeks back to book my car in for an MOT and service but could not get hold of anyone on the phone!!Finally I got an appointment for today. I went down and from the very start the advisor was rude and cocky. He had absolutely no manners what so ever.While I was there the phone was also ringing of the hook, there where two other advisors stood there doing nothing when one could of answered the phone.Anyways, the MOT was fine but I wanted my breaks doing too. Apparently they don?t have the facilities to do the breaks on my car. I find this odd. So either they are bone idle, lazy or both??2/5 only because they had a toilet that I was desperate to use. And that also needed a clean?Would not recommend to be honest.
