This is a lovely, small, and dog friendly pub in a beautiful part of Durham next to the river. The menu is fairly typical of most pubs and is well cooked and well presented. Quaint little pub we visited for Sunday dinner. The food was very tasty. Only criticism was it could have been hotter.. Still enjoyed it, though.

This pub is really nice with a great atmosphere.You can always get a great pint from here.The food is nice also.I would recommend giving the Rose Tree Inn a visit if you are in the area.

We area family run pub and restaurant with extensive beer garden, located in the picturesque Shincliffe Village on the banks of the River Wear.
Since 2005 the pub has been run by the Harris family with the aim of providing top quality home cooked food in a relaxed environment. Working together with our head chef we have created a menu of great British dishes and daily specials. During the week in addition to our main menu we also offer our ever popular lite bite set menu until 7:00pm. Don't forget to look out for our Chef's specials which are available on the blackboards all week.
In the bar we always have a great selection of real ales available to complement our selection of lagers and wines and well behaved dogs are always welcome!
