Very greedy they wanted £145 for a wardrobe that needed lots of work doing to it I offered them a £100 and they declined it too high and mighty to help out a disabled child absolutely shocking they get the stuff for free and only 20p in every pound goes to the actual charity , the high prices are to line the bosses pockets and not to help the needy at all , this isn't a charity its a front for a very greedy owner , they should be charged with obtaining funds by deception would never go bk to this place after what I found out , really really greedy, shockingly greedy actually.

I went into the store today to donate a large mirror and was told there was a £15 collection fee because it was not cost effective to collect it..... a mile away.!! I saw another mirror I wanted at £15 but that included another delivery charge. So they lost out...not a nice experience... the person just about managed to say thank you anyway as I was leaving the shop. All you folks out there Extra Mile Charity shop collect FREE of charge as only too glad to do so.

Booked a collection of a sofa, knocked back people who had offered to pay as would rather it went to charity.
Came to collect this morning, so had it ready on the drive to make it easy only to be told the manager Karen doesn't want it.
Just had our sofa likened to 'donating a set of draws with a draw missing'.
Will never try and donate anything here again. From the Google Reviews, this is a regular pattern of behaviour by this store.

Barbara was so so lovely. We are moving away and had so many clothes I thought they would say no but she was so lovely. She waited till we arrived and told us if we had anything else to please donate it and said she was really grateful. I have donated before to other places and they really couldn?t care if you are donating or not but not Barbara.

My wife booked online for a collection of small kitchen appliances, a Kenwood Stand Mixer, Kenwood Smoothie Maker and a 10 in 1 multi cooker. Having not had any confirmation of collection day she rang the shop today, the collection was supposed to be tomorrow, to be told the collection had been declined. The lady on the phone said it was probably declined because they don't make enough money on those type of items. Wow, just wow!! What a fortunate charity this must be to be able to pick and choose in this manner. They didn't even show common courtesy by letting us know they weren't coming to collect. We've supported BHF as donors by gifting through our bank for almost 40 years as well as donating items to sell but never ever again will we give a penny to them.

I think some things are still too expensive, because they are donated by the people of Hartlepool and people who are struggling with their finances, especially with this Covid Pandemic that were are all going through. With people losing their jobs and having to resort to the benefits system, furniture in the British Heart Foundation are more expensive than other Charity shops ! I was once told that this is due to them having to pay for a Manager in all of their Stores. How true this is, I'm not sure ? But a lot of people can't afford decent second hand goods at a Reasonable Price ! And that's why I don't shop in their stores ?

Expensive I found most people who go into these charity shops haven't got that sort of money to spend that's why they go in them if they had the money to spend they would go into shottons or rafferty's of Hartlepool instead .. £15 to deliver a chest of drawers I think that is ridiculous when other charity shops charge you £8 in hindsight it would have been cheaper to get a minibus taxi

absolutely shocking and disrespectful attitude and awful customer service from the store inside Middleton Grange earlier. 9 weeks post ileostomy (where I have what remains of my large intestine outside my stomach) and one of the volunteers seems fit to elbow me HARD right where my ileostomy is - which was sore beforehand. Not even so much as an apology. Fair enough, i`ll carry on despite being in more pain that when I walked in. 30 seconds later and it happens again - this ti
