I went in here to get my dad?s prescription for high blood pressure and strong beta blockers. I was told they had his prescription and the medication, but they were in the middle of a refit and hadn?t unpacked them. This was on Thursday so I was told they would be ready Friday. Friday, same thing, it would be ready Saturday, Saturday told they hadn?t unpacked them so hopefully Monday. Monday, still after having them in the shop for a week, staff hadn?t unpacked them - his medication was due to run out - so we had to get an emergency prescription from 111 and go into Hull to pick it up. The staff didn?t seem to be bothered - they were having a refit - and that was the best they could do. Disgusting. These tablets keep my dad from having a stroke. These places have a duty of care to the customers needing vital medicines. This has been chaotic, stressful and totally unnecessary. Stop stacking shelves and unpack your deliveries.Tried complaining to head office and they haven?t replied. Very frustrating.

Went to pick up my prescription. Long queue but only one person serving although there was another member of staff filling up shelves. Another member of staff did come out from the back to answer a question and find a prescription but then disappeared only to reappear with a tray of packed prescriptions which she then started to put in drawers. So now we have 3 members of staff but only one actually serving and the queue is getting longer!Finally it got to my turn but the only member of staff serving for some reason thought that now was the time to stock the shelves behind her leaving me just standing there with a still long queue all the way to the door. I actually had to ask her if she could actually serve me!I am appalled at the level of customer service but also cannot understand why they don't actually manage the situation which cannot just be down to fewer staff and increased demand - this is badly organised and customers are not prioritised. I would give no stars if I could and won't be using this pharmacy again.

The 1 star is for the fact that this branch is chronically understaffed considering how busy it has become recently. The staff are doing their best under the circumstances. They are having to cope with the increase in customers due to the closure (or soon to be closure) of the other 2 pharmacies in Cottingham. The last time I went to pick up my prescription, I was waiting 40 minutes. All the staff deserve a huge pay increase as they are doing triple the work.

Cannot give zero stars, third time back to pick up 1 prescription for a simple medicine, keep being told after 30-40min wait in queue each time to come back! Now told come back again today 3pm! Honestly, infuriating!

This branch cannot cope with demand. Huge Q?s , not enough staff. I don?t blame the staff. It?s big business buying up and destroying our once great high street names in the search for profits.

Absolutely abysmal attitude from one of the women who worked there towards a customer today. Dismissing a clearly upset customer who just wanted her mums prescription. She actually made this lady cry. That is not customer service and she should be sacked for her attitude towards customers it was grotesque. Even if she was having a bad day, its not the customers fault and the customer kept calm throughout. She just needed her mums medicine that kept her alive!I have told the lady to put in an official complaint as I will be also.

The staff are so slow it's a awful place. I went in there today to buy one thing. The que was long and I asked if they was all waiting for for scripts and they all said yes. So I went to the front of the queue to be told by a members of staff that I can't jump the que. Wouldn't it make sense for 1 member of staff to be serving so people don't have to stand for 20 minutes just to buy 1 thing. I didn't que I left and went to a different shop.

Extremely poor. The staff are doing the work of 3 pharmacies and the queues are always 16+ almost all the time. I feel very sorry for the staff and elderly customers. BOOTS HEAD OFFICE need to resolve this asap. Cottingham is one of the largest villages in the UK. So why are Boots not adding more pharmacists and staff ? Youre saving money closing the king street store in the village so I suggest the area manager goes and sees the chaos for themsleves !!

Pleasant staff helpful. Well that's how it was then, since the last review everything has gone down hill, always items missing from prescriptions will not answer the phone, needs some better cause of action in the place.

Absolute disgrace, never been spoken to like that by anyone before. Women at the counter cares more about going home than the customers in the pharmacy.

Awful staff ,very rude. I have complained to their head office so hopefully the will get some customer service training.
