I phoned just to ask if they did catering for funerals and there was an abrupt "no we don't". I was struggling to organize my father's funeral at the time. All I wanted was a platter or two. This was the beginning of March. I was referred to them too. I was disappointed.

Great little place however my disappointment is they don't provide non dairy milk. There are many vegans out there and people with allergies or in tolerences. Even long life versions of either almond, or oat, or soya milk etc would be great. Any non dairy. Even at an extra cost. It's rare these days that an establishment does not provide this.Dietary restrictions: They need to think about providing non dairy milk for vegans, allergies and intolerances as currently they don't.

Had 2 gorgeous ham sandwiches freshly prepared with salad and coleslaw.it was proper ham washed down with tea.The cakes look to die for and everyone was raving about the meals put in front of them.Customers are made to feel special and come out with a smile

The best traditional home cooking I've tasted in years... using good quality ingredients cooked in an old fashioned method. No preservatives! No shortcuts . This food wouldn't be amiss on a Michelin menu. Well done ladies . Ps reserve a table. This place isnt a secret. I had homemade plate steak pie in a beautiful pastry crammed with big chunks of steak and extra gravy in a boat as standard. Then the best lemon and raspberry cake which was fluffy and moist and huge ! .I returned for breakfast again just fab .. thanks I will return when I'm back in the area

I had to leave a review for anyone wanting to taste a pie or cake that will remind them of baking as it tasted in their childhood this is it....Fresh high quality ingredients. generous portions. No preservatives . And baked traditionally. This is just perfect . And would stand up against any Michelin menu... when quality ingredients are cooked this well, simplicity is key . Well done.

Visited on 3/10 after being recommended by my uncle. Could not believe the ridiculous mixed reviews. Having worked with food for several years, I?ve a fair knowledge on pricings etc. Multiple silly reviews on portions, pricing etc. £7 for a full English of nice quality, minimal wait time, and decent portions. Absolutely no complaints, will be back!

We went in for two all day breakfasts at £7 a piece I was shocked when the plates arrived one very small egg 2 bits of bacon 2 sausages and couple of spoonfuls of beans and a tiny half tomato we had asked for no mushrooms no alternative was offered, I thought oh well hopefully it?s really tasty and makes up for the price and small portion, unfortunately not sausages tasted cheap frozen type and bacon was thick and tasteless. I think the staff are well aware of the quality or lack of quality as at no point was we asked if we was happy with the food but they couldn?t wait for us to be finished and get our money and out of there £19.20 for two tiny breakfasts and two coffees will not be going back and definitely wouldn?t recommend also no option for a larger breakfast or to add additional extras and doesn?t actually state on menu the quantity of what you get.
