I like this store: the layout, the products. I also found the staff exceptionally polite and helpful and always smiling, so I like shopping there.I would love to be able to order online but they use Hermes delivery company, which is not acceptable for me.

Generally I've always found H&B staff friendly and helpful. Unfortunately in this store I haven't been so impressed of late. Today I arrived and they were late opening, (it's an open store in the middle of Tesco) I could hear them talking to each other, personally I would have called out an apology and acknowledged the customer's presence. On my previous visit I had redeemed a voucher for a free bottle of Vitamin D, thank you H&B it was a lovely thoughtful gesture. I only had a few minutes, but the staff member was querying the voucher and this was thoroughly inspected by another member of staff, I'm a little surprised they aren't aware of the offers and vouchers in use. It all took a lot longer than anticipated and I dashed out leaving the vitamins in the store with the other bottle I had purchased. I called the store once I arrived home and was advised they would be left behind the counter for me, I provided my name and said I would call in on Sunday to collect. This was one of the reasons I visited today (Sunday). I explained I had spoken with Liam and the two bottles were left behind the counter for me, which they were, with a little note advising they were left behind by a lady, wearing a Regatta jacket, the same one I had on again today. I was a little taken aback at how much I was cross examined, did I have the receipt, did I have my card, unfortunately I had neither, but they needed evidence, I suggested I provide my postcode and they check the system for my card! This was done and the lady checked my last transaction! I don't think many people would randomly pop into the shop and say they had come to collect the two bottles of Vitamin D they'd left in the store the previous Sunday, provide the name of the person they had spoken to and be wearing the same branded jacket, and low and behold there is a bag with Two Bottles of Vitamin D in it. Totally unnecessary to treat a customer in this way, on both occasions I was made to feel I was trying to take something I wasn't entitled to. This store needs some energy and a positive buzz to entice customers in, a lot of people don't even realise it's there, and it's in such a great location.

Spacious and well laid out.Reasonably priced.The lady who served me (Laura) was very polite, friendly and helpful.

Screamed at for having the temerity to enter the place, no signs saying only two customers at once, nobody on the door to enforce it, which is fine, until you realise I'm partially sighted, with my white stick, that I held up to illustrate the point, to no effect, no apology, nothing, just get out. I did, I'll never set foot in Holland & Barrett again, ever. I coukdn't see the 2 person rule wording on the door, nor could a fully sighted passer-by I asked.

I been this H&B many times ,the store is nice and clean, but recently been with bad attitude, bad service, no smile at all ( especially the young lady staff ) ....
