  • "Best Fish and chips Ive had for ages ! Fish was cooked perfect and even the chips tasted better than most chipies. I little on the expensive side but worth it ! Would go back again - 5 star !!"
  • "In agreement with a few other reviewers here - this place is overrated. It cost me £8.50 for quite a small haddock chips and gravy which I think I far too much money. The fish tasted good but texturally was a bit chewy. The batter was not crispy enough. The fish was the meal's strong point but the chips were a real let down. They were undercooked, not crispy, and to top it off the gravy was pretty bland and powdery tasting. I wouldn't mind this for a cheaper price but for £8.50 takeaway fish&chips I expect something a little special. Eating in is £11!! Staff were friendly on the plus side. Have yet still to find the best fish&chips shop in Brighton"
  • "Really great family run chippy that delivers on big flavours with a smile. Also it's good to see that travelling this far down south means the gravy gets thicker..... :)"
  • "Hugely overrated 'Brighton Institution'. There are many decent chip shops serving exactly the same size and portions for almost half the price. No excuse, especially in this low rent area. Only time I went, the cod and chips were overcooked and tasteless"
